Like, I legitimately have reasons for not getting one. Mainly that my dad is a terrible person about a lot of things, but that's a story for a different time.

You do realise normal and ranked MMR are entirely separate things, right? Obviously a fresh level 30 account will be facing silvers in ranked, because the MMR of any account that hasn't played ranked before is mid silver-ish.
