You do realise normal and ranked MMR are entirely separate things, right? Obviously a fresh level 30 account will be facing silvers in ranked, because the MMR of any account that hasn't played ranked before is mid silver-ish.
This is what happens when you don't go down to the depths of low elo for a long time.
