From now on, users will be able to write and publish guides for new champions as soon as they are added to the MOBAFire database. After some testing on other MFN sites, we've added the "OP indicator" to MOBAFire. This creates a box around the name of the creator of the thread you're in. This is especially useful for threads that include a lot of author-interaction, like an AMA. Can you guys go a little bit into the maths (don't have to be too specific) of this algorithm?[/quote] I don't have the exact algorithm, but before, the system was using the all-time score instead of the recent guide score, so it wasn't following the same rules that determines the rank of a guide elsewhere on the site. Now anything that appears in the Popular Guides box should be updated within the past month with a solid score, which should fix the problem of older, outdated guides with a lot of total votes being displayed on the front page.[/quote]
