I'll go with my original plan of just keeping 10 meta jungler cheatsheets at the top then. You guys definitely know the current guide landscape more than I do, I'm pretty sure my last guide was released in 2013 xD
My writing has gotten a lot better though, so at least there's that xP

Says "Team guide" rather than "Talon guide", so yes, selecting more than 1 champion basically classes it as a general guide and it won't have anywhere near as much visibility as a guide made for a specific champion.

****. I might just bite the bullet and make it general anyway then, and just hope my rank/scout votes/rating (are those a thing anymore?) will push the visibility. Might grind for challenger seriously too to help it a bit if I have the time/patience.
I understand what you are saying, but I just have 0 desire to convert it to a champion guide. I'm very picky and it isn't what I had in mind when I started it, so I don't think I will.

Those things only help so much. There's very few ways for a random coming onto MOBAFire looking for guides to notice a general guide. For example, this guide is the top rated general guide and was pubished 10th February, with 150k views. For comparison, my Lucian guide has been out for 24 days and has 170k views, and the rate that it gets views at will only get higher as it gets more views to look as legit as the 2nd top rated Lucian guide that has like 2 million views from before my guide was around. And my Trist guide is only about a month older than the general guide but has 2 million views, so about 1,850,000 more views with just a month's head start.
You can go for it anyway if you want, just making sure you realize that the effort that goes into general guides kind of goes to waste when compared to how many people champion guides benefit.
If it really doesn't pick up traction fast I'll rehash most of the info in a champion guide later on down the line. Those numbers definitely help though, I appreciate the concern.
It is a bit naive? To expect that my quality of content and status will be able to outweigh the disadvantages general guides face compared to champion ones, but I'd like to at least try first before taking the "easy" way out.

It is, kind of. :P At least IMO. No one will get to notice your quality or hear about your status in a general guide. The most that could help is if you post it on Reddit or something, and get a nice one-time spike in views that way, but in general those things don't help much when it's hard for people to notice that a general guide with those qualities exists in the first place.

Imo a general guide is better than a very general, say, Lee Sin guide. But sadly it's true that general guides don't really get much attention, at least on this site. I'd stick with your plan to make a general guide, see how successful it gets and if it's not as big as you hope, rehash it into a champion guide. It won't be a ton of work to convert it later, I think.

My oldie general guide for tanks wasn't very popular and clearly something people were not really looking for. Most are just looking for specific up-to-date info on a particular champion and how it matches up in lane and what is "the best" build. unfortunate, imo, but you should do what best gives the information you want to transmit.

sorry friend unfortunately you may have to wait another season or two for that to get changed : ^)
Unfortunately, but at least I can ban the worst offenders. :>
