Would it be possible for you to add some more information about how to supp as taliyah? My friend is wanting to buy her for supporting, but he's having a hard time finding a good guide

Hey, sorry for the late reply, my life has been absolutely insane these last few months. Yeah, I can get into more depth about support Taliyah, it'll just take me some time to finish the info though.

Alright thanks! Also no worries about the late reply.

Hi. I like your guide a lot and I'm very impressed with your ranked climbing using Taliyah. I am currently maining Taliyah with this build and I was wondering if you would be able to record some matches and upload them so we can see your playstyle. Even if you don't want to do commentary I think it would be awesome! Thanks.

Hey dude! Thanks a lot! Sorry I didn't reply to this faster, I have been SUPER busy with life, and I haven't played league much, but I will for sure record Taliyah gameplay, I may have commentary, but who knows. Also, I am so glad you like my guide! I'll need to update it however, and I am a bit rusty with her at the moment, 'cause I took almost a two month break, but I am already getting back to where I was with here before, it also doesn't help that they nerfed her so hard. have you tried just skipping out on Rod of ages completely and going for Rylai's + the rest of your build? It works fine for me! :3 @TaliyahMain

You can re-expand the columns in the Masteries -section to cover the entire page's length after the masteries' picture runs out. Right now it looks sly.

I also don't think it's worth taking mana regen seals for Taliyah. Your foremost objective early game is to focus on farming for Rod of Ages , not trading with the enemy laner. You'll be getting Catalyst of Aeons first, which will basically solve all mana problems you might have had beforehand. Also, it's worth considering running CDR glyphs since Taliyah won't be getting much, if at all, before her first 2 items.

I saw somewhere that Koreans max E first, followed by either W or Q. Personally, I either do that, or put an early extra point in, for the cooldown, and then max E. the Wave clear is faster and more reliable, on top of shaving off the cooldown massively, allowing you to farm faster and safer until you've got your first core items. The burst damage that procs from enemy landing on your traps is something to consider as well, as it's much more than the slight base value increase for Threaded Volley.

The matchups -section is really nice.

Cheers.

Thank you for the comment! I'll make sure to fix the Mastery section, but the thing is, even once you build Rod of Ages, you still will have mana problems, and I personally don't like building cdr on her, I understand if other people do, but it's just my preference.

And about maxing Q/E, I max Q because it has a shorter cooldown than the other two abilities, and that's probably why you guys build cdr, but again, not my preference, but Q got a buff to it which makes it better for clearing minion waves, and I know E is strong.

I took into account everything said here before making the guide, but I really appreciate the comment, and I can see where you're coming from, but this guide is supposed to be my build, not anyone else's. I hope you understand where I'm coming from as well.

Looks like you got things under control here. Good job. If you want more tips besides jhoijhoi's awesome guide coding guide, feel free to PM me, just don't expect an answer within 24 hours.

Taliyah is sort of like Karthus with more utility; takes time to ramp up, but massive AoE damage once done with her core items. CDR doesn't really fit into his build either, so people tend to run CDR per level runes. Just expanding on my previous comment. Builds are obviously not set in stone for each and everyone.

Taliyah is one of the few champs Ican still play well when smurfing on NA ;-) that's why i took interest in her.

this guide is well done but i feel like it needs to be more descriptive rather than fancy looking

May I ask in what areas am I not descriptive? Perhaps I can fix it.

In the guide it says you take 1 Armor quint and 2 AP Quints on Support Taliyah, but on the support cheat sheet you have it the other way around. I'm gonna follow the guide, but I thought you should know

Oh man, I didn't realize, thank you! Yeah, it's supposed to be 1 armor quint and 2 ap quints.

Thank you for pointing that out!

Intro

The lore kinda messes up the flow here, creating a giant gap underneath Taliyah's portrait, which looks really good otherwise. Besides, it feels a bit unnecessary to me. Feel free to disagree :3

After that, the champion spotlight also feels out of place. Shouldn't you be telling us how to play Taliyah? You're also missing some periods in the text following the video, which does decrease your credibility a little. Also, why is there a big open space to the right of those paragraphs? Seems really awkward.

Pros/Cons

There's a lot of spacing here, but perhaps a bit too much. I don't think you need an entire empty line between bullet points, as it spreads everything out more than it should. When I see pros and cons, I want to compare them, but I can't do that if I have to scroll back and forth repeatedly.

Abilities

The GIFS are nice, but they're super low-quality. Since the videos of Taliyah's abilities on her champion reveal page are YouTube videos, it's actually hard to make a high-quality GIF. You might be better off either embedding the actual videos from YouTube or just using images. If you go with the latter option, try to get a picture that really shows the ability in action. You can have more than one picture, too!

You can also just leave the GIFs as they are. It's not the worst thing ever, really. :P

Ability Sequence

You should give more attention to this part, instead of leaving that row of icons at the bottom of the ability section. It'd be awesome to know why you max X over Y, especially for readers who are new to Taliyah.

Items

Center the text between the icons. Having it offset to the left looks strange and awkward.

Masteries and Runes

Why the spoilers? I honestly don't think it's a problem if everything is out in the open, as long as you put a little divider between your mid/jg/support runes/masteries. Having everything in spoilers makes it feel like a reader could just skip over this section entirely. Also, why isn't there a section for jungle runes? Are they the same? If they are, say so, don't just skip it.

Matchups

I LOVE the champion icons that you can click on, though they are a tad large. One might not read the text underneath them because the icons are so huge that they cover most of the screen. I also think the spacing between the dividers and the actual matchups is too much. No need for all that empty space everywhere.

Spells

I think this section seems out of place. Maybe move it to before masteries/runes? (side note: Clarity is actually disabled on Summoner's Rift, so you might want to remove this.)

Jungle

Arghhh why is the text not fully centered? Also, the red numbers on the map are really hard on the eyes .-.

Videos

This video doesn't really pertain to Taliyah at all. Why is it here?

PBE

Arghhhhhh the text isn't centered again why u do dis

I think it'd also be helpful if you listed the changes in reverse chronological order, so we see what's most recently been changed first.

Changelog

This should definitely be in reverse chronological order, like the previous section. Since changelogs tend to get quite long, it might be better to put this one in a spoiler, and move it up to the beginning of the guide (not sure it really deserves its own heading), or to a conclusion section (which I do think you should write).

Sorry if all that sounded a little harsh, but I really do like this guide.

Cheers! :D

Thank you for the opinion! I will fix a lot of the guide, it is my first guide though, but I really appreciate the advice, I'll be honest, I was kind of offended at first, but then as I thought about it more, I realized it's all true. I hope I can get more comments like these!

Oh, and as for the video, me and Youmuu's had an agreement, he would put my guide in the link of his description, and I would link his video in my guide, so I can't break the agreement.

Glad to help out. :) It really is a good guide.

I'm not sure if this got answered, but since you were asking in another comment, the code for something like Feast or Savagery (rather than Feast or Savagery) is:
Code:
[[feast mastery]] or [[savagery mastery]]

Best of luck!

Thank you so much!

Yeah, she does have a pretty low win rate... I think it's partially because of her difficulty though, she is based on skill shots.

And I am pretty sure the buffs will help her quite a bit in the jungle, the clear will be amazing.
