I know you aren't allowed to disclose the exact details of how this scoring system differs from the previous ones, but thanks for being diligent and listening to our requests in the scout forums :)

I don't know if this happened with this change or if it's always been like this, but the highest rated guides list is filled with guides from Season 4 and 5. Just throwing it out there in case it wasn't intentional :)
Made this sig myself :)

Currently we have something called "voting decay" which means only a certain number of votes count towards a guide's current ranking. This is how new, successful guides can compete with old, established guides even if they don't have hundreds of votes.
Our old system was fairly fluid in determining how many votes to count, and would sometimes result in very new guides with only a few votes being placed above established guides with one or two downvotes. This made guide scoring unstable, able to be changed drastically by a single downvote.
We're implementing some changes behind the scenes to stabilize voting decay so that guide rankings aren't so easily moved, but still flexible enough to shift over time. Overall, you should see more intuitive rankings, with strong, tested guides being placed above new guides with a handful of upvotes.
