You clearly don't know how the soloqueue system worked before. You used to be able to duoqueue with whoever you wanted, now you have a one tier restriction for most elos and a 3 division restriction for Diamond. Playing as a group has never been more restrictive than it is now. You seem to be handing out guilt where there is only chance.

Riot didn't destroy anything, they simply changed the rank system. You may have your issues with it but the bottom line is groups/friends can play together and have a good time. A large majority of the player base can still play full games with their friends while still being able to feel a sense of accomplishment.
