So, they are finally changing how his W works, sad times.

What I would change at Cho'Gath is remove some reliable damage but for that give more in return for his unreliable damage sources. These are my changes:

  • Attack Speed Growth increased to 3% from 1.44% (0.944 AS instead of 0.782 AS at 18 without other items)
  • Rupture
    • Damage increased to 100 / 155 / 210 / 265 / 320 (+ 100% AP) from 80 / 135 / 190 / 245 / 305 (+ 100% AP)
    • Slow duration increased to 2 from 1.5 seconds
  • Feral Scream
    • Acquires target post-cast rather than pre-cast
    • Range increased to 650 from 585
    • Damage lowered to 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 (+ 50% AP) from 75 / 125 / 175 / 225 / 275 (+ 70% AP)
  • Vorpal Spikes
    • Damage increased to 20 / 30 / 50 / 80 / 120 (+50% AP) from 20 / 35 / 50 / 65 / 80 (+30% AP)
  • Feast
    • Damage to champions lowered to 250 / 400 / 550 (+50% AP) from 300 / 475 / 650 (70%AP)
    • AP ratio for damage against non-Champions increased to 100% AP from 70% AP

I don't see why moving damage to unreliable sources would be good. All this does is allow scripters to do better on Cho'Gath, because they will always hit the Q and thus gain more damage. You also have the fact that scripts will use the increased W range to hit more and the time the damage is applied won't matter.

I think you're punishing players for no reasons by allowing scripters to do better.
Thanks to jhoijhoi for the awesome PsiGuard-loving sig!

This is one of the few well-thought-out, reasonable posts you've ever made in your life, congratulations and +rep

Giving Cho'gath a 100% ratio on its ult against non-champions seems a bit unfair, especially if you were contesting baron or dragon.

Well, same could be said for Jhin tho. Cho has to be in melee range and has a short delay. So there is enough counterplay to it.
