Early and mid game went well. Good dragon control. Ganks were were working. About the 18 minute mark things started to feel really uncoordinated. Couldn't get anyone to come and help me take Rift Herald which was really the only easy target on the map at that point aside from the Top outer tower, which would have worked nicely to take in seccession.
Felt I wasn't farming enough relative to how much we were skirmishing, which meant by the time GP and Lux really ramped up despite killing them a couple of times each in ganks, we were taking a helluva lot of poke damage from their abilities.
Maybe we should have switched to a more splitpush type approach? May request a review on this one. It seemed obvious to me that we needed to kill
Lux and Gangplank in fights but we weren't able to coordinate that.
Bot got crushed and so did Top. I killed
Ziggs a time or two, but unfortunately I wasn't in a good position to roam and make plays in other lanes. With Top and Bot overrun everyone came to play in my lane. Always a good time. We held them off for a while but eventually we got three inhibbed and then they got Baron so they were able to come in and roll up the carpet.
Singed did Singed things. Miss Fortune seemed out of it. Janna played very well though. And Annie had her struggles but also contributed mightily. Team fights were scattered affairs. Their tanky types wanted to go in but their damage dealers mostly wanted to dance around which spread things out. We kept coming out slightly ahead and were able to push our advantages.
Darius tore it up. Thought he was going down under his turret, but I came in and gave him a helping hand to kill off Shyvana and Riven.At one point
Annie and Darius were pushing Top lane and the entire enemy team collapsed on them. I thought, "well they are dead", but a triple kill later they walk out.From then on it was pretty much
Annie and Darius 2 v 5ing the enemy team. They didn't want to have anything to do with those two while we took out two of their inhibitors.Eventually we backed, took Baron, and then punched then in the mouth in front of their Nexus turrets and took the win.
Hecarim was banned. Been practicing Kha'Zix so went with him. Game started out lovely with kills in all lanes. Then Brand DCs and dies to Annie during that time. He was gone long enough that I had to cover Mid lane, which was some nice farm on the first go round, but extremely dicey when Annie came back with her stun up. The tables were turned while we were a man down, so it looked like this one was going to be and ff at 20, but Brand came back and we made some headway. Then the wheels started to fall off. They had managed to get our jungle warded up during the time Brand was away, which meant they started picking anyone that went through our jungle off despite me telling people to stay out of the jungle. Garen was also not very willing to group. He was definitely creating pressure but we weren't really in a great position to capitalize on it with people dead from wandering around a not so safe jungle so his efforts weren't very productive.Eventually we grouped up enough that we started to turn the tables on them and started catching a few of them out. With enough picks we were able to take Baron and run it down Mid.
Wow that was one of the most iritating wins I've ever experienced. Also had a display bug that cost us an early Infernal Dragon. Bot just picked up a double kill and I was in the vicinity so they pinged Dragon. I saw Lee Sin Bot side so I didn't want to risk it. About a second later it showed him ganking Top lane so it would have been a perfect time to do dragon.
In the pre-game lobby our ADC was happily telling us about his 4 game losing streak and how he was ready to lose the next one! And then he started *****ing about the
Sona pick. Not an auspicious start, but I can't dodge because I in my promotional series for Silver 3.In game
Katarina roamed so much that Corki was simply able to push and take her tower. I cleared as best I could at the cost of mana and time that I would have liked to have used farming and ganking. He rinsed and repeated on the inner mid tower though I killed him a couple of times for that. Like really. You give up a Mid turret and a **** load of farm for KDA? Jayce did his best with Singed but eventually Singed was knocking down Top inner and eventually he gets the Bot base tower and inhibitor because the team is just not accounting for his presence.I think our only saving grace was the shortening of the map once they actually started trying to pry open our base. That and
Sona valiantly waveclearing while the rest of us were doing who the hell knows what.I'll take the victory, but that was knock down drag out and we were the ones punching ourselves in the face.
Note to self: I need to moderate my use of mana come late game. There were several instances were I was operating with zero mana, which limits what I can do.
This one was a struggle. We wiped them at Baron. Then took their Inner Mid turret. Set up another fight on Mid.
Ahri pulled the trigger while they were all running backwards so they were spread out. Gangplank got sucked in so ulted to hit the three that I could hit with my ult, but it was not enough. They mopped the floor with us and then ran it down Mid for the win.Would have really liked to have gotten a kill on
Swain early. One auto from me or GP would have sealed the deal, but GP was behind the play, so it didn't happen.Think I probably would have wanted a
Banshee's Veil next.
Not getting enough done. Need to figure out how how to be in the right places and the right time more often.
I helped throw this by taking an opportunity to get a shutdown on a low health
Fizz after he finished murdering Veigar. I killed Fizz but Jarvan IV happened to be in the right place at the right time as I was between their turrets. Could have gone left or right and picked the incorrect one. They ended up getting a Dragon off that.Later
Kled went one man armying off by himself and got killed. Then a few minutes later he dragged Veigar along with him and they both got dead.Would have really liked to follow up some
Kled ults into their team but we never seemed to managed to coordinate that.
We tried to make this one hard. Early game
Ryze, Rammus, and I teamed up for some nice ganks. Then we screwed up the defense on a 5 man Bot dive and got a bunch of of the team killed. Fighting in choke points bad. Bad. bad! Thresh nabbed a couple of good hooks and we calmed down and got it more together. Still had Rammus off doing his own thing occasionally, but part of that ended up being splitting top while the rest of us pushed up Bot lane. The Bot lane dive netted us some kill and a tower, then Rammus took their Top outer tower and we were able to push in for the win since we already had one of their Nexus towers down.
