So last season was the fist full season that I played in and was ranked S4. I mainly play Support as Thresh but also try, and when I say try I mean fail, at playing ADC and Top. I'd like to learn those roles to help climb and not be stuck to one role. My IGN is iulan (same as here) and I am on the NA server. If anyone is willing to help PM me or add me in game. Thanks in advance!

What do you feel you're bad at specifically? Mechanics, map awareness, game knowledge, etc?

In a support role I'm decent with the mechanics. My major issues are knowing when to push/engage or stay back/recall. Also what to build, which has gotten better, based on the enemy team.

For ADC/Top I have major issues with CSing. It's not that I cant CS I just get bullied really easy and am too nervous because I don't want to get caught out and killed. With that I get down on items and gold fast which hurts me and my team for the rest of the game.

I have taken up support since I don't have to worry about CSing and play more of a passive role but I don't want to be stuck to one role, especially ranked this low, so I can see what I like the most when I have a grasp on other roles besides Support.

When to back: Enemy laner has backed and you pushed out your lane first or you are so low health that enemy laner could easily kill you.

When to engage: Basically the best time to engage is when you know you are able to latch on to the enemy and have a good feeling about the out come. There is no sure way to know when to engage. Its a case by case basis so kind of hard to say when to engage.

Last hitting CS: Best thing you can do to improve on last hitting minions is just practicing it for awhile until you see improvement in a custom game with bots.

How to deal with poke: What you do is you stay out of range of the enemy until you need to go in to last hit. When you go into last hit a minion you be careful to dodge any skill shots that come your way. If you're an adc you should be looking for opportunities to basic attack the enemy in between cs last hits. When you do this you hit them once and back off. Eventually this will drain down their health. I recommend playing jungle if you're really not good at dealing with other players in lane though. As a jungler you're usually not under harassment from the enemy for the early game.

In top lane there are two good ways to play from my perspective that are some times dependent on the match up. You can play aggressively and try to push the enemy to their turret or just freeze the lane somewhere, basically this has the goal of controlling the lane. Or you can play safe and bide your time. Farm under turret and get as much CS as possible. Don't go back until the enemy does. I usually like to play champions like Master Yi so I can bide my time under turret and get every cs, he is great at last hitting under turret. Then after enemy backs I push out wave, recall to get items, and then I kill the enemy because I'm Master Yi and also bring Exhaust.
