I love Xin Zhao, he has become my main character a few months ago because of his reliability. I totally agree that he´s the manly man who goes in and stays to fight. And I´m trying to get better with him (despite my lack of skill) so I will ask you a few questions.
I usually rush Tiamat ASAP for better jungle clearing times and wave clearing. I know Xin can kill the chickens at lvl 3 without it (I actually do it withouth health potions either) but my doubt is if going for BOTRK will not deny me farm by taking away the AOE from my AA and the extra damage from Tiamat´s active. Later I allways upgrade it into Titanic (after completing Bloodrazor and boots).
Another thing I allways do is going for the Challenging Smite. It´s like a fetish, if I have a jungle champ who relies on AA I go for it and try to duel. Needless to say that usually the other guy has a different idea (specially after the animation tells him he has been smited) and runs away. So I will give chilling smite a chance (a few actually since I´m not a quick learner) but I´d like to know how do you gank with it. I mean, do you start by smiting him and chase him after, or do you spend your E gap closing and then smite to stick to him? One thing I like about doing things your way is that I´ll be tanking less damage from minions (I currently walk up to my target from behind taking their aggro). Another thing, if you use Chilling Smite and BOTRK´s active at the same time, does the walking speed you gain stack? I know the slows don´t (you can E+Smite+BOTRK and the target will only get the higher value of slow, not a cumulative one) but I don´t know about the speed increasing part of both skills. If so, using both would grant you a 45% MS increase for 2 seconds actually giving you a escape tool (if there are more than 1 enemy, if it´s only 1 a single speed steal is enough). I never tried the combination.
For the next item, how good is Rageblade in fights? Currently I have it as a 3rd core item but I am not sure I am doing right. I mean, if I get it after Bloodrazor and BOTRK (ot Titanic as I am doing now) it will enable Xin to melt epic monsters extremely fast but against other players I have my doubts, since I hardly get to AA 6 times in battle to stack it and activate Guinsoo´s Rage. Sure, it´s gold efficent with just one stack but perhaps I should go for another one (your builds provide plenty of options).
And last but not least, one maneuver I was tring to do (and failing) is walking behind the enemy and use the ulti to send him over to my laner (I know, I am not a Lee Sin, but I have trouble with people rushing to their towers). Is it even worth it or am I just wasting Crescent Sweep? With your build you get much more chasing power.
Thanks in advance for your answer and thanks a lot for your guide and all the hard work you put into it.
PD: ¿Is there a way to see any of your matches? I´d really like to see you play.
(that will not run) with big duealing potential and you deem it enough to use your ulti then jump on him with E and use ulti right away as it does damage based on current health, making it more effective at the start of the duel. Basically as you said my builds provide with a lot of slows and Movementspeed buffs in order to catch fleeting enemies which otherwise would escape, i presonally think doesn't have the real need for more Duealing damage as to get Challenging Smite in order to kill the enemy team, all in all 90% of the time people will just try to run away from him and thus you need to be able to catch them. If you have any other question feel free to ask.
I´ll try all your advices and come back to tell you how it went. As I said, I´m a slow learner so it will take me some time to get the best out of them.
Thanks a lot for both, your guide and your answer.
