You should update this to the current patch so more people can enjoy this, like I did.
Yeah, I've been thinking about updating this for a while. Unfortunately, there is a LOT I need to change. This meta has too short of games for the Seraph's Embrace-based build to suffice. I now build Luden's Echo as a first item and just get as much AP as soon as possible to deal with the short games. The problem then is that there is SO much I have to update that it'll be a large project that'll take some time, which I don't currently have much of right now in life. I'll update it eventually haha :D
Anyway nice guide!
Just to warn you :^
...just kidding, now it's fixed, good job! :D
I mean, earlier I saw another guide where every video was broken and actually a doubt came in my mind that it could have been an error on my part, but I can't think a reason about why this happens.
But yes, as now it is the only video broken for me (I rechecked just to be sure, proof that I'm not mad)
And sure, I'll be glad to come back and let you know :^
No just kidding. You're right. Next time I update the guide I'll make sure to make that more accurate. I think I was thinking QSS. Either way, thanks for letting me know friend!
Still, that doesn't mean she doesn't belong here. If I ever put her in the guide here's what I would say: She's a huge Veigar counter. Threat level 9, easy. Morgana in the mid lane usually builds less like a support and more like an AP mage, making her QW combo deal obscene amounts of damage. Build
Hmm... Now that I think about how threatening she is I might add her the next time I update the guide. Thanks for bringing it to front of my attention!

Overall nice, useful and made by someone with similar grandiose delusions as Veigar himself, +1 ^^
Friendly text with welcome humor to ease a bit the long reading
Very clear explanations concerning abilities and best use
Essential advices for laning and farming for one of the worse early AA of the game
To the point and convincing itemization section
Like a lot the combo chapter and use example
<3 the fun facts, feels like a nice reward to have read the full guide
Keep the powerful mage ruling the mid lane !
Consider replacing the flat AP quints for something else, unless you're vying for early lane dominance.
Movespeed, Flat CDR, Scaling CDR, magic penetration, or even flat armor.
You don't get to fight much early (since you'll lose pretty much every trade and so should do your best to avoid it)and you have enough AP from your passive that the 15 AP is pretty much garuanteed to be useless very soon.
This is more of a prefrence.
The 12 points in ferocity with feast and vampirism is better sustain than the 2 health regen in resolve. You also get 2+1 per unique takedown that scales pretty well into the late game.
You'll have less health and less defense under the turret, but better sustain overall with a MASSIVE damage buff that scales multiplicatively with your ridiculous damage.
(unless for some reason you are comfortable staying in lane when you're below 25% health)
First paragraph. I'll try it. In my experience 15 AP makes a difference, particularly in your early Q's damage, but flat CDR Quints sound glorious as well, so I'll have to check that out.
As far as my Masteries, that's just how I've been playing since Veigar's health regen buffs in patch 7.19, primarily for Perseverance. 50% health regen on top of his health regen buffs come together to create way more lane sustain than it sounds like you're thinking. But at the same time, patch 7.19 has only been out for a week or two. Before 7.19 I totally went with Ferocity, so I can see a world where I change it back. Especially if I take flat CDR Quints instead of flat AP like you suggest then I would be able to cast more spells, making Vampirism and Feast potentially more useful. Thanks for the feedback friend!
BUT!!! It works if you actually win trades. Bullying your lane opponent out means free farm, the net Q stacks might not suffer too much AND you get your enemy to miss CS. Worse scaling, but if you can snowball with it, it works.
But just like you were alluding, my early trading was worthless and I nearly got pushed out of lane a couple of times because I just couldn't put up the damage numbers he could. But thanks to the new health regen I mini-stack from masteries it wasn't too big of a problem. I felt like I was taking a medium risk for a high reward, and that particular game it worked out amazingly.
The second game I tried the Quints and Glyphs from your build: 1 CDR/lvl and 2 MPen Quints and CDR/lvl Glyphs. That game was nothing special, so I'll have to do more testing on it tonight. Early signs were that it didn't FEEL all that different from from my triple CDR Quints build. I just didn't get as lucky and wasn't able to take the game over.
My third game I play Karma.
