I really like the concept but rushing Warmog second item after Titanic gives you no resistances. Worse if you go Trinity/Sterak after that. Do you think that's a problem? Isn't your effective health lower then?

Zz'rot portal isn't in the game anymore.

I normally just skip boots and the other items and go straight for the final build. It works really good in most games and you could even play this as a support and split push in the late game. I should say here that I'm still in Bronze and don't play ranked that often.

I'm just interested, will there be an updated version of this build for the next season?

You may want to remove/replace Zz'rot from the build since it doesn't exist anymore lol

You need to be more clear about builds dude which order when we gonna build and when we gonna sell the items

So when do you decide to sell boots and Sunfire? I would assume you sell Sunfire once you start building a 6th item. Then when you finish the item you replaced SF with you do the same for boots to make room for another. I see you've already partially discussed this but Im terrible when it comes to decipher when to sell items though I understand the basic concept.

In many cases, I would actually sell boots first before selling Sunfire. But other than that, you are right. Although recently I started buying Titanic Hydra early and skipping Sunfire altogether and that seems to be a better path but more testing is needed.

Hey I just want to say great guide! I actually started playing shen last year because of you and preceded to buy two skins after that for him too, so maybe see if you can strike a deal with rito for some commission? I also like the runes you have for domination and also started running it for a while.

Honestly I think of Shen as being a very situational character. I wish they made his kit a little more friendly to jungle role. But nonetheless honestly this can help a lot with how to play this sadly under-used champ.

I've just got a S- on Shen thanks to your build! I wonder, by the way, do you sell the Sunfire Cape late game to afford a slot for Trinity?

Sunfire Cape is super efficient early in the game, and pretty damn bad in the late game. So yes Getting rid of it later to buy something that scales well is ideal.

I like your guides but I'm not sure if they're the best for me. I'm more of a teamfighter than a split pusher. Will give it a try though.

Shen is only ideal if played with at least split pushing in mind though. BUT he is far more Team fight oriented at least :)
(always join fights with R :P )

Nice Set up but I would suggest to run ATS over flat AD.

First of all thanks for commenting :)
Prepare for wall of text.

There are 3 decent marks for Shen:

Hybrid penetration (now called precision)
Attack Speed
Attack Damage

Hybrid penetration brings a lot of damage to the table and scale well into the late game, but they do not aid in getting cs in lane in any way, so that is why I won't use those.

That leaves us with the AD and AS runes.
The marks are here to do 2 things for me. Help me get cs, and help me make my empowered q trade even stronger. Here is the math:

Level 1:

Attack Speed:
0.651

+8,5% from masteries and runes. (4 from masteries, and 4,5 from the 1 AS quint)

1,0315 without attack speed runes (empowered q)
1,12915 with attack speed runes (empowered q)

Attack Damage:

62 without ad runes (60 base plus 2 from mastery)
71 with ad runes (60+2+9)

dps with attack speed runes:
70

dps with ad runes:
73,2

Ad runes comes out on top by a small margin. But it matters very little if you use AS instead of AD runes.

AD runes have the added benefit of making me able to one-shot minions under turret that I normally would not be able to. I hope this helps

There are even more things to consider, and the above math is somewhat simplified. For example, Attack Speed runes help smoothing out the proc rate for Grasp of the undying. But I do a LOT of theorycrafting so you can be certain that all my runes have been checked countless times. I make slight changes the more I play a champion, so the runes eventually end up being almost perfect. I recommend checking out my Shyvana guide. Those runes are just perfected down to the the tiniest detail.
