How long did people take to get her to mastery 7?
Coz it's taking ages for me...

Finished updating this guide for Season 9. Sejuani received some nice buffs in patch 9.1 and she's in a much better spot now. If you haven't played her recently, give her a try! :)

Updated! Unfortunately Sejuani's not in the greatest place in the meta at the moment, but she's still playable of course. Let me know if you guys see anything that I might have missed, but the guide should be totally up to date now.

Hey PsiGuard, I was recently told in a game that I should be taking Hunter's Machete level 1 instead of Hunter's Talisman when playing sejuani. I didn't really agree with this I am just here to make sure that talisman is still the right choice for sej.

PsiGuard (1495) | April 25, 2018 4:47pm
About 80% of Sejuani's take Hunter's Talisman. I think Talisman is better if you're running Resolve because the bonus HP from the rune path will increase the damage of the Talisman Kindle passive right at level 1. Hunter's Machete is still decent and I'd definitely recommend it if you aren't running Resolve.

what do you think of using the inspiration tree as a secondary ? if so what should i pick ?
1
PsiGuard (1495) | April 6, 2018 4:04pm
Inspiration isn't awful with Magical Footwear and Cosmic Insight, but the main reason I wouldn't recommend it is because you lose a lot of attack speed by sacrificing Precision (and Legend: Alacrity. I don't think the runes in Inspiration are worth losing attack speed for your early clear and for stacking up your Permafrost on enemies.

What do you think about using Righteous Glory? Can that or maybe some other attack item fit into her build?

PsiGuard (1495) | February 13, 2018 4:51pm
Iceborn Gauntlet is the only "damage" item that I've seen on Sejuani, but personally I'm not a big fan. She's pretty well suited to setting up her teammates and just surviving and tanking damage. I don't feel she gains much from adding damage items that sacrifice her durability.

Turbo Chemtank isn't a bad item. If you're having trouble engaging for some reason, it could help you force fights against slippery teams. I rarely find that necessary though, and prefer to hit big item spikes like Warmog's Armor, Gargoyle Stoneplate, Adaptive Helm and Randuin's Omen which are more effective at keeping you alive. If you can engage without the help of Righteous Glory, it's usually better to build something else.

Hey I was wondering what you thought of Sunfire Cape on Sejuani?

PsiGuard (1495) | February 1, 2018 4:54pm
It doesn't stack with Enchantment: Cinderhulk.

Holy, i gotta say, that guide was pretty damn nice ^-^. I personally liked the old Seju a bit more, well actually just her R, because you could stun multiple members of the enemy team.

PsiGuard (1495) | January 31, 2018 11:35am
Yeah I miss the old ultimate, but taking power out of her ult meant they could put more into her other abilities (like the stun on E). 5-man stuns were pretty awesome though. :(

What are your thoughts with fleet footwork on sejuani?
1
PsiGuard (1495) | January 30, 2018 10:05am
I don't think it's better than Aftershock. Fleet Footwork used in pro play sometimes but in regular solo queue games, Aftershock wins way more. I also feel like Aftershock makes more sense as a Keystone, as Fleet basically just gives you a healthier first clear and then some in-combat movement speed, which isn't as good as actual resists/dmg on a tank imo.

I want to try it sometimes. Great guide.

Lately in the Pro scene Junglers have been taking stop watch as a rune in the secondary tree. With Stoneplate being in your item path I think it might make sense on Sej. I'm thinking about picking her up and I am wondering your opinion :). BTW love the guide thank you.

PsiGuard (1495) | January 26, 2018 4:06pm
Definitely try it out for yourself if you like the active. I've been experimenting with Inspiration secondary more on junglers and it's pretty good. In pro play people are a lot more organized so a single Stopwatch active can make or break an early game, but in solo queue things are a lot messier. I wouldn't say Stopwatch is necessary but it's viable on nearly every champion in the game right now.

The clearest use case is to drop tower aggro during a dive. If you have stopwatch you can make much more aggressive tower dives. Just make sure it's after 6 minutes (so you can actually use the item) and check if your target has a stopwatch too so you aren't surprised.

Thanks for the quick response I'll try it then and see if it surpasses zombie ward and triumph. (my favourite minor runes)

On your first back do you get bami's cinder or the smite upgrade/trackers knife?
2
PsiGuard (1495) | January 23, 2018 12:00pm
Upgrading to Tracker's Knife costs 650g and Bami's Cinder is 900g, so I usually just buy the Cinder if I can. Tracker's Knife and Boots on your first recall is okay as well if you just want to get more vision down for your laners.

Bami's Cinder is much more useful in any fights with champions and it also speeds up your jungle clear which is why I favor rushing it if possible.

Ok, thanks I appreciate the response

Tracker's Knife upgrade gives you more exp though, so less vision ain't your only trade off. That said, I normally get the meaty item on jungle item first for most champion anyway.
