I'd recommend experimenting with other runes cause I've been finding Conqueror really hit or miss in recent past. I'd definitely say at least have a Fleet Footwork rune build up because that is a lot better when you're up against very mobile champs. Anyone with gap closers or range, such as Akali, Vayne, and Irelia (who I think should be an "Extreme threat" instead of a "Major" one) already give you a lot of trouble since they are either better at poking you and wearing you down or can easily jump on you and do a lot of damage quickly. Fleet has just been much better for sustain because in my experience you'll have enough trouble hitting these champs without getting hit back harder, so it doesn't help that you need to keep hitting a champ to build 10 stacks for your next attack to regain health, since Fleet is constantly building up for a healing effect it is just much more reliable against these champs.

Yeah I do go fleet sometimes, I should add that as a secondary page, I still feel is completely viable on him though, makes your mega combo extremely strong.

Like I said, I purely think it's better for some of the worst matchups, primarily those mobile champs. In my experience, if you get behind against them with Conqueror's you'll stay behind or coming back will be extremely difficult, while Fleet gives you more room to come back.

At first I want to say that this is a really nice guide. I have one question how aggressive do you think gnar can take early trade or longer trades and what do you think go for mega gnar on level 2 or lvl 3

Gnar should be good in early trades because they shouldn't really be able to trade with you due to being ranged and having a slow,if they do trade with you, you should be able to kite. mega gnar early is fine imo usually it's going to happen anyway since you're autoing creeps and trading early.

Yo thanks Yeager, I really hope they do buff him soon or maybe meta changes to suit him better. I know if the meta goes towards a longer laning phase which it looks like it will he might be more viable but we'll see, that's what I am hoping for anyway.

I haven't tried your Gnar guide yet even though I expect it to be pretty good, like most of your guides. Gnar isn't really my type of champion, strong laning all around but I prefer something a little more consistent in terms of kit. I'll give this a try soon.

Yeah I personally wouldn't play him until the meta shifts (or he gets buffed which is unlikely) he is very hard to carry games with. But his laning is still very safe and good for surviving.

Hey! Love the guide! I used to play Gnar a lot, but I have converted to playing Kled lol.

Now with updated, how do you feel he compares with Gnar now? seems very brutal now, and can lead to Gnar being within a dangerous range of Aatrox. What do you think?

Thanks man, I actually haven't played or even really seen the gnar vs aatrox matchup yet since gnar isn't really played right now (sadly).

But I will say aatrox is a very strong laner right now and thinking about it in my head I'm pretty sure he would just wreck gnar level 6+ because he can just get onto you, and also his Q range would be your auto range for him to get the knockups + extra damage, so it sounds pretty terrible for the gnar atm but I will have to play/see the matchup still!

Very OP i liked it. I turned into mega gnar and once i triggerd the stoneplate it was gg. Makes your team have a godly front line.

Yeah I got a bunch of updates for rune section that just need to be coded, but I will at least update the cheat sheet for now.

Loved the guide as a Gnar main. Though I have run a build that involved and didn't have to buy frozen mallet and allowed for more tank/damage build depending on the team. What are your thoughts on running that instead of ? From , I am able to have to help build towards more quickly.

only contributes 250 gold towards . You will actually get to Stoneplate faster if you take which contributes 300 gold.

I haven't tried glacial augment on Gnar tbh I might give it a shot in normals, honestly though building frozen mallet isn't bad stat wise, and also thinking about it on paper idk if glacial augment permaslows (compared to frozen mallet) them since it has a cooldown.

It's far from permaslow. Even at lvl 16, it's still 2 seconds uptime, 2 seconds downtime. Might still be enough to chase people combined with Q and cleaver but I expect Mallet + a different keystone is still better.

Yeah I need to add a second page, both are viable right now but I think the summon aery one is a bit better for most matchups so I have that one in the cheat sheet.
