been playing yi with the help of this guide past 2 months,got a lot of penta. this guide is actually good for people who recently started master yi. best runes! NO CAP!

The Duskblade build works wonderfully. Although I do prefer going Zombie Ward over Collect Eyeballs, because it improves the vision a whole lot without even trying too hard, as well as giving that extra damage.

Really good guide! Also chapters are awesome!

Do you even playtest these Guides? Kraken Slayer as a Mythic item is sooo bad on Yi! And where does Stormrazor synergize in a non-crit Build? Ffs.. just copy my guide or something but dont spread this to over 2M poeple.. Or.. actually put in the time to make it a good guide and not just half-heartedly "update" them every patch to promote your stream

Just one question though, if is a bad item on Yi, how come it's the most popular first item built on him as of right now?

Just because is the most popular Item on the second day of Preseason it doesn´t mean it´s a good option. Bonus Attack Speed is nice but is a MUCH better alternative. While I have always preferred additional Attack Speed over Attack Damage i have to disagree this time because of this OP Item. Trust me! Try it out. Look at my Guide and please let me know if you can improve on it, i would gladly hear from you again.
Besides that, 2 Million people who don´t know what to build and look for guides got rerouted to this Build. For the 3 hours my Build was updated and this one wasn´t i got 20k views. Ask me again why Kraken Slayer is the most popular build option when the game literally reccomends it and people looking for options get routed to Guides like these from People who don´t playtest or engage with them.

the 2 million people argument is not the right one to use here since these views have been through the time frame of 2 years and the author is a streamer.

Even if this guide didn't exist, your guide is not going to get millions of views in 3 hours. It simply does not work like that, getting views takes time. It also shows total amount of views your guide has received, not the amount of people viewing the guide each day.

And no I cannot ask you again why it's popular since I haven't chosen that. But if the game recommends it and everyone is already building it, there's bound to be a reason for it right?

as an yi main super bad guide, you didnt even mention wits end ! you say it is updated for 9.18 but for coup de gra you said it gives you AD (removed couple patchs ago), overally a big scam and it is not even close to updated for 9.18!!!

A superior guide to master, it helped me much to understand the keystones and items, jg route left me confuse a bit but then i realize it was outdated xD, overall nice guide, thumbs up.

The jungle route is outdated. You can not go red to skuttle to blue because of the extended spawn timer on the first skuttlecrab. Just pointing it out. ^^

Why ? Why not or ?

does grant 20% true damage conversion & 35 AD at level 18, but you're not trying to wait every 4 seconds for a proc & later on, enemies aren't meant to last that long, especially with .

There's runes like where you can farm jg/pick up soul essence from Cannons/Champions while also opening up for & for more Damage & Sustain.

on this build would also be notably insane since the attack speed will almost instantly proc the enemy de-buff. The first 3 hits gain 40-180 damage & then the will deal 8-12% increased damage, following more Autos & 's, which adds even more to the Tank Shredding.

Could you also possibly add a Vs between the 3 Runes as alot of people would ask the same question since many prefer the other 2 options.

People go on Yi to split push. Of course if you hit creeps you don't have to wait 4 seconds.

Splitpushing Yi is really strong because he's almost guaranteed to at least trade his life for 1 kill even if you come gank him with many people. It's a lot of pressure. Conqueror is the best for this playstyle.

Of course if you just intend to play a ganking style Yi, / are better.

Yeah does seem like a weird choice, but at the end of the day it's the best performing rune by far on Yi. Presumably because it's a lot of AD to give to a champion who builds so much attack speed that it's worth the delay.

The next best option is also rather than any of the things you mentioned. ;P Though I do love on Yi, I always used it before became available, it was nice burst combined with crit build.

I don't like comparing things like that in my guides because the answer basically boils down to "You should use this rune because it's better". A buff to Lethal Tempo might push it above , a nerf to both runes might bring / back, even though all the analysis would remain the same, except the answer would change. I'm not interested in adding impressive looking fluff to my guides.
