Giving $10 for everyone that creates a guide...Now I understand why there have been a bunch of new low quality guides. Besides that I am loving MobaFire <3
I would put a requirement where the guide must have an amount of like or something :D

The Author Rewards program is only open to guides from Season 8 that are updated to the current patch, not new guides. The guide contest is open to new guides though.

Thanks to Fatelblade for the sig!

Yep, as Jovy said we didn't include any niche categories for this contest since we're expanding the prize pool and the number of winners from 12 to 18. It made more sense to spread these new winners out to cover each of the standard categories, and in order to stay under budget, I couldn't fit in any extra ones for this contest.
We can always consider bringing back other categories like the Fun guides or the Revival category in future contests.

Do you still consider off-meta builds for positions like Kennen Supp for the contest, or just normal supports? And if you do look at off-meta, does there need to be demonstratable proof of the support working?

Dude, do you know how hard it is to get some real recognition? Being a newer guide writer is rather difficult because even with the advertisement thread, people mainly look at guides from challenger players. Being someone who isn't that high leaves you very little visibility and even fewer people actually commenting on your work.

I understand, my point is that there are new guides that does not even have text, just a build + runes and that is all, no explanation, no combos, nothing. It is like "Here is my guide, now give me my $10". I dunno if u get my point

In this case, if I'm not mistaken, they are marked as builds, not guides, which effectively makes them invalid for those contests.

I just saw a bunch of those and was unimpressed by them, so I see what you are saying. I didn't ever look that far down, so I was unaware of their existance.

We hope to see lots of great guides :)
