What do i do when i fight against an ap champ, iceborn Gauntlet only gives armor should i rush spirit visage?

Yes, in combination with Sheen or at least Sapphire crystal to have some mana.

Hey, started maining Yorick a bit ago, but since I ban darius every time, I sometimes meet my most hated matchup, tryndamere. How do you fight this matchup? I can't hit my E cuz of his dash and every time I try to juke him around my R he just dashes through it and wins against me, any advice?

Darius is actually quite easily beatable by Yorick. And in terms of Tryndamere, you just need a lot of armor against him to be able to survive his damage and win in a bit longer trade.

I know that but I just hate fighting darius since if I do 1 mistake against him early I instantly lose the lane until 16+ mins into the game when I start to get a bigger powerspike than him, but I am a Gold player so yeah, I suck pretty hard.

Thank you for the response with tryndamere tho, I guess I just had problems trapping him in my wall and now that I played with Yorick a little bit more I can safely win against him most of the time.

If people in the enemy team are more organized, should I stop trying to push for inhib tower? Their supports are most of the time good at warding so they ward everywhere and I can't set up a push for the tower most of the time.

Also what do you think about for example letting your R go somewhere? I did it once on bot lane when we were going to baron and it was pretty even, and we got a tower and a half from maiden even without the cannon minion. Do you ever do this or is it never worth it? Maybe with a cannon wave?

Hey, nice guide!

I like the idea of iceborn over trinity force for the mana and armor, I'd never actually thought about switching triforce for iceborn gauntlett. Good guide and +1 upvote.

why iceborn over trinity?

Also more mana than triforce.

EDIT: You should use both tho, I use gauntlet in hard lanes and in lanes where I am against a mobile champion and tanks which I can use black cleaver against and kite better with gauntlet.

Basically it's about tankyness + possibility to make black cleaver, which is more beneficial during lategame, due to extra armor penetration.

I love Yorick, and in fact I also made my guide on him.
I wanted to tell you that I really appreciated your advice, play a more defensive Yorick, allowed me to change some of my team's game strategies.
I never thought about playing mid lane with Yorick, but now that some strong AP carry games can play TOP, it is something that proved extremely useful, especially in the pre-game when picking picks.
In a well-organized team, the TUA build is much more efficient than the classic Yoricks.

I Enjoyed the build! It works in Masters in eune against a renekton with ignite which is usually a good counter against yorick. And in the end i did the most damage of my team even if i went tank. Sick!

I am glad, that you like the build and yes, I feel pretty much the same, that in the end, you can't deal damage if you are dead and in general - ultimate usually provides enough damage.

Yes, it definitelly is. In that case, you should run tree with as a keystone. Even though you can play it that way, I simply don't prefer it that much, because I generally like to teamfight a lot, where (I believe) tank Yorick shines way more.
