I can add that Rammus is very flexible, you can play any build into him, as long as it has a minimum of resists, if you wanna check some other more off-meta but better to snowball builds, make sure to check mine (sry for advertising in your comment section)
132 master players played ranked with Rammus over the past 2 days and these are the item winrates.
Don't trust Rammus mains. Trust data.
I think rushing a jungle item is the most reasonable plan atm to compensate for slow clearing. But don't try to powerfarm in higher elos, jungle exp and gold are nerfed too hard. Only way to win is to gank a lot and enable someone on your team to carry.
I still rush Turbo Chemtank and Dead Man's Plate before I start to worry about Bramble - and only if they have a lot of healing or sustain, or Thornmail late game vs auto attackers.
Sunfire Aegis seems to be performing better than Turbo Chemtank at the moment though. Stay up to date on Leagueofgraphs.com item stats by elo.
Gargoyle Stoneplate, Abyssal Mask and Anathema's Chains are also performing really well.
Predator might be a thing tho!
The problem is that nothing really competes with chemtank and deadmans rush at the moment.
With the new changes to jungle coming Rammus is probably going to be hurt even more than the champs with fast clear right? :(

This I can't take seriously.
Had you asked me to give feedback to your guide instead, I would probably have said, that I like your stuff about Zz'Rot as an interesting item for split pushing - especially in lower elos or as a situational item, when you need to put extra pressure on the map and can't rely on your team.
But I still don't get why you would write a guide trying to convince other players to play exactly like you, when you are ranked below average despite haven 100s of games on Rammus.
For instance, I find it misleading for new jungle players to tell them they should always save smite to fight for the rift scuttles.
We should sometime save smite to counter an invade and steal attempt, but we should definitely not always go for the first scuttler, as it 1) often reveals your position on map, 2) it's the least valuable camp in terms of gold, 3) not even that valuable in terms of vision if you ward pixel brushes around 01:15, 4) you might run into a better level 2 duellist, 5) it makes clearing the rest of your jungle less efficient etc.
I miss some nuance in your guide about stuff like this as well as the pink ward as starting item. The tradeoffs are pretty severe, since you miss out on refillable potion, which is pretty nice through the entire early game.
"Your guides are just like everyone else's!"
That's because we're creating guides that help teach other players what items are good for a hero, as well as adjusting them over time as the meta constantly changes. Because of the meta, there are always going to be similarities between the various guides submitted to MOBAFire.
If it helps, you don't have to make guides that completely disobey the meta in order to make guides that stand out. :)

Not to mention, I see no reason to comment in the first place if all you are doing is leaving a disparaging comment and then telling the author to check out your guide instead. Hamstertamer was right and you are not allowed to advertize your guides, particularly not in the comment sections of other guides.
although I do think, Frillen, that your initial response was a little bit too personal; though like I said you did apologize in the next reply and try to defuse things.
Now you are measuring ****s, by saying you have more positive comments than me. Wow. And so what? And people are using your guide and it works? If they climb the ladder I doubt it is thanks to your advice.
But why would you make a "Rammus Jungle guide" on how to play a less than mediocre Rammed jungle in the first place?
I think you should go watch some replays of the highest ranking Rammus players on the KR, EUW or NA server and compare your cs/min to these players and then re-evaluate your jungle pathings and maybe rename you "guide" to "How To Definitely Not Escape Silver With Rammus JG", until you get more experience.
At least the people would know what they get, instead of being mislead.
