I like to study different builds while I'm cruising around but looking at your site through the browser is awkward. Would be nice to have an app that would at least let me browse the different builds.

Cruising?
While you're driving (or surfing)?

This concerns me, not for your sake, but all the pedestrians and fishies around you. :>

Yea, we have discussed this before, and it seems it would be way to hard to do something like this. Idk tho, maybe if Matt or FlashJ could talk to a knowledge app maker, maybe something like this can come to light in the future.

Just remember, you would need continuous internet access (3G, 4G, wifi) to browse updated builds/guides and comment, or else all you could do with no internet is browse ones from the last time you were connected to the internet, with the same comments and votes from that point of time.

(wouldn't be bad, just sayin')

might be an idea to look into tho.

Thanks to TRUeLM, Plastictree, Scrax, Xiaowiriamu, foggy12, JahGFX, jhoijhoi, msrobinson, JEFFY40HANDS, Nyoike, MissMaw, and me :) for the sigs!

from experience, there's just way too much a third party person would have to do

it would require a lot of coding, converting current code, making a format (if possible) that the guides layout could be converted into a suitable iphone layout (for example, making the guides follow a format with tumblr for every section of a guide), then you have to test it for suitable data loads (how much memory are we using? is the iphone using a lot of battery processing this information? is there any bugs in the coding that are causing unreasonable load times / page sizes?)

Then you have to really assess how many people would use an application like this, and if it's worth the amount of hours and bugtesting to make sure it's suitable to release to get good reviews, as well as it being worthwhile to constantly update the application everytime a new format is included, new champion, item changes etc.

What it really comes down to is that would the manhours be costeffective? are we aiming to make this as a freeware application? if so, how much money would matt/flashj pay a developer to develop freeware like this? if not, how many people would actually pay for an application like this?

I can maybe see a hundred people using this sort of thing, which when you consider the total amount of hits/unique hits this website gets, and the amount of revenue this website gets from ad placement, would it be worth it? Would they make a profit out of developing something like this, or would they have to compensate for developing the application by adding more advertising or making the application include advertising?

There's a lot to consider before even considering the idea, really.
