What do you think of using instead of triumph and legend second rune, to go for transendence and gathering storm? Because in the sunfire build you lack ability haste often, and you get huge dmg bcs of Gathering storm. Also i saw sometimes people using last stand instead of legend, thougths on that?
I really like to get triumph for the sustained fights and early game ganks (whether it is me who is ganking a lane with TP, or the enemy jungler ganking me, in which case I almost always try to get a kill out of it). I love to get into 1v2(or even 1v3) situations a lot with this build, and that is exactly where Triumph shines.
Legend feels good in those long fights too, I never needed the bonus ability haste if I focused solely on keeping the Sunfire dot up with my auto-attacks and getting in some extra damage after I buy Hydra - which is exactly why I love Legend in the late-game. Last stand is just less safe, which makes your skirmishes a bit weaker.
One more question i got would be, when do you usually build tiamat? And, do you always build titanic hydra? I often see others build tiamat often first item, but i find myself building it just when i go for titanic anyways.
I just feel like Sunfire, Steraks and Gargoyles are much more important, and i even dont really think titanic is a "must buy".
For exmaple i just had a game where the enemys had 2 tanks and lots of healing, so instead of titanic and 1 more, i went for thornmail and black cleaver. Or would you say go titanic anyway?
What hydra does perfectly, is making you a bruiser as well as a tank. The splash damage is great, sure, but what matters the most to Kled is the bonus AD, scaling with his HP.
Black Cleaver is definitely not as good after the changes, but it can be a great pick-up against very tanky teams.
Thornmail is the best item against healing-heavy teams, 60% grievous wounds after immobilizing the enemy (Q/R) is just insane. I also love to run Abyssal Mask, as it works the best if you want to try flanking behind the enemy instead of fighting the frontline, and obliterate a carry after a successful Q pull or R.
Besides Sunfire, Sterak's and Gargoyle, the items are optional and I strongly advice you to find your own way in every game. If you have any more questions, always feel free to ask!
First of all i felt like Kled has almost no really loosing matchups. What i would like to know, who do you usually ban? I permaban Garen for my part. And secondly, are there any matchups u dont pick Kled into?
Considering the skill level is equal:
I would say Malphite is a bad matchup - you cannot really kill him or dive him. Cho'Gath is another one I do not like - both of these are really boring to play against. Shen is the same, but baiting out his W should not be so hard - therefore I do not hate the matchup.
Jax is similar to Shen, all you need to do is bait out his E and survive his sustained damage (which as tank Kled, you certainly can).
Fiora is easily countered by rushing bramble vest (only tank Kled can do that effectively) and not using Q before her W is on CD.
I do not mind playing against Garen - you can force trades pre-6 and win them, then push and roam after 6, until getting Sterak's - then his R is no longer a problem. Urgot is the same - Sterak's procs at 30% hp, Urgot's R at 25% - so the matchup is only bad after 6 and until you get the item.
Anyway, I usually ban meta junglers and Camille. Camille is a great duelist and scales far better than you do, plus the true damage does our tanky boy no good.
Meta junglers are self-explanatory - Kled can be punished very hard by jungle pressure and those that excel at it.
