Prowlers is really good if you can use it for utility instead of damage. Using it for the dash is a lot more useful than adding extra damage. You would need to be mechanically comfortable with doing that and finding when to dash when (playing more with prowlers gets you the ability to do this)! For cooldown reduction, you ideally only need ~40-45% cdr. Going over that and sacrificing damage isn't really worth it in my opinion. With prowler's, you can still achieve that cdr value! Also, taking prowlers is really good when following enemy dashes, such as Ezreal, Caitlyn, Tristana, etc. Duskblade is really good for team fighting, so you will have to play around your team more instead of side laning. Hey, I've been testing out both builds right now and both builds are good!

Building crit is superior when the enemy team doesn't have counters to auto attacks(Shen W, Jax E, and much more!) Knowing how enemy champions work will help you decide why autoing against them is terrible and this comes with game experience! Crit is also good when playing against tanks because critical auto attacks strike tanks like no other!

Building lethality is what I've been testing lately and I've been liking this build as it gives me more of a caster way to play Zed! Building this build is better when autoing the enemy team is not good and getting close to the enemy is not good. If you cannot go melee versus the enemy team and auto them, going caster Zed is better because you can kite and use your abilities to kill them instead of autos!

Generally, the more you play the game and Zed, the better you will understand which build is better where. I love watching youtube videos of Zed gameplay and Zed99 always impresses me with his Lethality builds! Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck on the rift!

Hey!I'm glad you found the guide useful. Against viktor I always take electrocute and doran shield because his poke is insane! The taste of blood in the domination tree and doran shield passive will help you survive his pokes making lane a lot easier. You usually will have to give up cs so you don't lose half your health bar in a trade. Farm with your shurikens so you don't have to step up as much. Always standard combo (W-E-Q) and get that electrocute to make him in lethal range (low enough to kill him). Once you get level 6, your kill pressure will be a lot higher and you will dominate lane then. Hope that helps!

Hey, I homestly use Prowlers as an extra dash, basically as utility. Using it as a dash over more damage is beneficial because the extra damage is not worth. Instead following someones flash or dash with your item or even as a gap closer is better. But if I do use the item for damage, I would use prowlers after I press R to get full damage output!

Essence Reaver is a good item in my opinion because you get good damage, crit, as well as ability haste! The stats are really efficient for the gold cost and this item is really good when achieving 60% crit! Zed benefits from damage and ability haste and achieving that last final cheap item to get 60% crit is really good. When testing out this build, I have noticed the sheen proc does do a good amount of damage as well when comboing between autos. I believe other crit items are more expensive and don't have the appropriate stats for Zed. Furthermore, I truly think Riot should refund energy if you don't use mana, but this may seem broken. Hope you understood my point of view, I'll be testing out this item more and think of another substitute. Cheers!

Generally, a default rune for zed is electrocute, you can never go wrong with that rune. But if you want to broaden your playstyle, you can go conqueror against tankier teams, and first strike when you know you can hit your abilities first (during laning phase). All mythic items are good right now since they all got a buff during the preseason. But for a beginner, I would recommend duskblade since it increases your ability haste, and newer zed players can succeed when they have lower ability cooldowns. If you make a mistake with your ability, it will come back up faster so you can try a combo again! For a gold/plat zed player, I would suggest you improve your landing phase skills and always come out as the better mid laner after laning phase. Play passive in early levels (1-3), and you should be set for the rest of the lane if you can combo at the correct times. Overall, mechanics are a big part of zed, so playing more of him will help you out. Good luck!

Hey, a lot of lower elo players hate playing against Zed because they don't have landing skills. Zed's weakest point is his lane, and you will have to beat him during this stage. Ping your teammates when he's missing, armor is a good stat against him and carefully watch his shadows and cooldowns. Overall, Irelia is a tough matchup for Zed, and Yone is a fairly easy matchup for Zed. I would recommend watching Challenger Players on YouTube and watching how they beat Zed during the lane phase. I usually watch "Challenger Replays" on YouTube. Good luck in your Season 12 climb!
