it's likely playable. a few patches ago, the stun cage cooldown was increased by a few seconds, and that heavily hurt the build, since you're playing for the best ability in your kit, and all the damage becomes a bit less relevant. if your team is all damage, and no source of engage or cc, then i could see it working, but you'd function much more of a control mage with no damage than a support carry

if you have opportunities to use q on enemies without getting punished, then yes. try not to commit too much, all you really need is Q-auto or auto-Q, then back away. you do not want to pick up minion aggro damage. and that's only if they walk into auto attack range to begin with. Otherwise Q and back-out is good enough.

thank you! its definitely some edge use cases, and you would be correct your comments. Taking predator is really the only way he can roam, but otherwise without any movement speed options, it's gonna feel bad if the roam with predator doesn't work.
