playing against janna, i 100% agree she's a threat to sion supp. early levels were so annyoing with the constant poke. fortunately, their tristana got too cocky and ezreal and i got some shut downs and proceeded to take over lane >:D

I don't mind Janna as much lately. She's been overpowered for so many patches that the Janna players are really boosted now.

bloodsong and iceborn gauntlet can't normally be purchased together (both are spellblade current season forbids it). update items (ad threat section)

Thanks! That was an oversight, swapped to Celestial which should be better anyway.

Edit: Ah! The exclusivity was bugged at the start of the season, it used to be possible to build both together. I guess that's why I had them together.

I want to make it better than before. Like with a synergy list for each item. Or ideas for when to pick an item into which champs.

I've started to play support Sion recently but I feel like Unending Despair + Spirit Visage combo is really good or even mandatory as it gives lots of value, but I may be wrong :D
Nevertheless, sometimes I become lost after buying these items as I don't quite understand what is worth building next, that's why I'm so concerned about the items section

Yes, I think it's great. The version I like is rush into but you can do any mythic that the game requires, for example if there's a Katarina in the game and my team comp isn't good to handle her, I'll consider . You can also skip the mythic and do Umbral into Dead Man's Plate. It's a build to go for when you need to be your team's main damage.

For this patch (13.13) you can also rush . Unfortunately next patch (13.14) they are changing it and I think it won't be as good for support without going full lethality.

The reason that I like Dirk is that it gives insane burst in lane which counters champions like Senna, Raka, or the other ranged champ's that are common in the bot lane.

Glacial Augment is optimal in most games, pretty safe rune to default to.

Edit: I removed Axiom Arc from items. The interaction it has with ability haste is just too broken now.

Edit2: Tested it a bit more since the last buff. I think it's back on the menu.

I used to do that in season 7. It's still good but it's not really a supporty playstyle. Tilterella plays it a lot nowadays.

The way they gated the items makes the strat be less fun for me. Back then I could get both the jungle item and the support item together.

Yes, it is more of a river type of strategy, but it is really hard to pull off especially if you are new to . By the way, you are one of the very few guide creators nowadays that edit their guides, appreciated.

Thanks! I'm an old-school Mobafire user. I used to create Sion guides even as far back as 2013. I'm pretty sure that was the way it was done back then. It's cool that the site is still around.

I saw that this guide got featured, I'm happy to see that I am not the only one to appreciate this awesome guide!

Yeah, that was amazing. There's still a few things I want to add for example a warding guide with wards specific to Sion (for example you want to setup deep wards to give vision so it's easier to land long range ults even if enemies kill all minions instantly.)

I average 2 wards per minute which is a lot higher than most support players.

I'd also like to add a better section on roaming with timings and that requires a section on lane control. Sion has total domination when it comes to getting lane prio.
