* Lifesteal % increased from 14% to 18%. This is to give it a little over-time healing back to Wriggle's, which we're fine with. This won't quite even out, but it's still a phenomenal jungling item.

* Why nerf Wriggle's? It's fine!

The core disagreement here is that it's not fine It does too much for far too little. This is as someone who plays mostly junglers right now and buys this every game. Its power swings heavily as a random proc, and putting more power on that is really problematic. As an aside, it's extremely abusive in lane as well as being too strong in jungle.

* Tell me why you hate junglers and America.

Nerfing something doesn't mean a dislike for it, it means that it has power balance problems. I've explained the rationale for the nerfs and cited the problems, those need to be addressed. The idea is to kill the problematic point, but make it an attractive jungle item anyhow.

* You just killed Wriggle's! It's everything old Urgot was x2.

I don't think so. I'll still buy this every game. Free ward + super Razor + jungle sustain is beast. The extra 4% takes some of the sting off, too.

* In another post, you said removing the proc -would- kill it. Why did you change your mind?

I was wrong We tested this out a bunch and it was still very valuable. The Live team proved their case, and changing your mind based on new data is how to make more appropriate decisions.


I don't ever play junglers but this change makes sense to me, not really fair to be gaining lifesteal on every 500 damage proc on such a cheap item.

Meh, I don't really see why it's any different. Warwick will be forced to lane. You can't solo dragon as soon now. I really don't play junglers but when I do, I don't usually buy this. I just get a Vampiric Scepter and move on.

I agree. Making the 500 damage proc not count toward life steal was necessary.

This won't be too influential against junglers, but will be a rather hard blow to ranged carries who purchased Wriggles for the early game bonus, such as Boosh's Ezreal.

Nerf was needed. It was too powerful for laners and junglers.

Teemo with wriggles = farm all day + ungankable.

along with others, made it extremely hard to counter-harass them.

With that said, junglers are going to buy it anyways. Its still dirt cheap and very cost effective.

How is Warwick going to be force to lane btw? I don't get it, he still best in jungle.

No life steal proc means tough jungling for him. He'll gank even slower than he already does IMO. And when he finally does show his wolf-y face, he'll come out with even less health potions than usual. Just trust me on this. I think I know what I'm talking about.

I have no problem staying high health with Warwick. His speed is less than desirable however. He does well on attack speed runes as such. ^^

wrong. I play warwick without buying razors (to rush early randuin's) from time to time. with the right rune page and masteries you are always at above 85% hp in jungle (WITHOUT POTS). well if you're a good ww at least.

Warwick doesn't get Wriggles until well after his first jungle route, by which time he's probably around level 7 and Hungering Strike is more than enough to keep him alive. Wriggles was never essential for keeping him alive. In fact, a lot of Warwick skip Wriggles and go straight for the Bloodrazor.
