True, but my guide was out a month before yours.

Our item builds are almost exactly the same.
Only difference is the Void Staff.

You seem to know your character well on this. Most would disagree with boots of swiftness, but since pulling off infuriating escapes is a big draw to Akali, they're a good choice.

I like this however!

Yeah, I wrote this at about 4:00 in the morning, so I apologize for the Lethality fail. If you read my edit, based on some of my fellow Akali players' claims, they don't do as well as they do with my second build. Mejai's has been pushed back and I've removed Sword of the Occult. I know I don't have any health, but you should be jumping in and out of team fights, leaving little to no time for you to be hit. If you feel the need for more health, pick up a Rylai's instead of Mejai's. Thank you for the feedback!

I'm not going to down vote you but give you some good advice. You have zero critical chance so why did you place 3 points in Lethality? Remember to use the best out of every point in masteries to your benefits. Maybe add some dodge masteries? And one more thing. IMO I wouldn't use snowball items (stacking items) on akali since she can be squishy. Also you have no health items for Akali which can be a problem to fight against carries/Nukes during mid and late game. I hope this helped! =)

I agree with most of your build, but like the rest say, Snowball items are a definite NO in my opinion. Just how everyone yells at me to grab Mejai's as Karthus in 5's, yeah I always get fed early, but I suicide run all the time, as is the case with Akali against a good CC team.

I would say to you that Infinity Edge isn't viable either. Please don't downrate me because you have another Akali guide up here. You said yourself that a snowballing Akali is one of the scariest things you've ever seen. I've put up a section that specifically says not to get the snowball items if you aren't getting early game kills.

i like your build except for sword of the occult. I understand snowball items can be very effective but getting 2 can set you back a fair bit. The only time i do well with this build is when i have a very good mid game - as in im lucky to get a few kills from ganking. If this does happen, i will always own afterwards but that is a very risky build. I still like it. I agree with ur runes, masteries and summoner spells.

This build is definitely a high risk / high reward, but you should kinda get the feel of whether you're gonna be fed or not. If you're getting 2-3 early game kills, pick up Mejai's and Sword. If not, ignore them and build Revolver instead. I understand your immediate dislike of Sword of the Occult, but I choose it because of her second passive. When you have over 700 AP and can nuke like no other, you naturally get targeted first in a team fight. The massive amount of AD you get increases your Spell Vamp pretty high and I often go solo dragon to get health back when I have full stacks. It's kind of scary to be honest. Also, Akali is better when she can lane with some sort of CC, so if you've only been going mid, I would suggest going top or bot with a teammate. You tend to get more kills in the other lanes because people are more aggressive and less cautious when they have another person there with them. When they over-extend, make them pay for it.

I knew how you built your items since I play with you, but I didn't know most of the stuff you have put up here about Akali, and honestly, the only Akali that has/would give me trouble would be you.
