If you look close enought you will notice that the price is similar , before randuin was WAY better but this the current nerf its closer .
I think randuin will be less used for DPS er now and its a good thing but it remain a good tank item .
Sunfire cap is more an offtank item , the item you build first on champions like malphite because they need both dmg & survivability and sunfire cap is THE item for that , then build some MR with banshee and after that a randuin while a main tank will focus on things like legion aegis and then items like randuin but will not use sunfire cap
But thats just my opinion :p

no it doesnt, randuins is fine, it was extremely OP before.

I feel that it just got bad compared to other tank items. Elementz said something along those lines in his meta talks too. They aren't nerfing bruisers anymore, now it's tanks ;(

it is slow paced,well early game, theyre making it less gank based more farm based til 11 mins. its the goal. involves more competitive play in lane.

Well, most games can often be determined by how well the beginning goes. Most the time the start of a game doesn't make that big of a difference, unless of course one team is trolling, failing, or just aren't as good in general.
A lot of people do believe that the start of their games are the most important part (hence flat HP, flat AP, etc...). It also makes the rest of the game pretty short, if the start goes severely in your favor.

If anything, it's more gank-based - roamers are constantly ganking, and junglers leave the jungle really early to gank all the time.

I posted asking if people wanted to see an item tier list, and i made it. Btw sunfire is so low because though it is a good amount of health, the passive is next to negligible and the armor is lackluster. You're better off going with randuins, which also has a chance to slow 5people, give you more armor, and even some HP regen.
