The only way to improve is to learn from your mistakes. Focus 100% on that and don't give a **** about your elo or that your teammates are feeding. Only then will you improve.

@fifolek - High ELO players have consistently proven that there is no ELO hell by playing smurfs in "elo hell" and carrying them all the way up to high ELO. If you are good enough you will make it. It can be possible to be... maybe 150 ELO out of place forward or backward, but I don't see anything much more drastic than that.
The first step you should take would be to stop raging at team mates... That does not help you(nor your team) at all.

@EvilDice #1 thing you should avoid doing at any ELO is raging, makes the team morale absolutely ****, and you don't play as well as if you were in a good mood. Best way to play ranked is to keep a positive attitude, always be hopeful, and look for those picks! They will turn the game around.

Haha, yea kinda, but playing about 50 games should put you within 150elo of your true elo.

based on my experience here are some REAL pro tips on how to become super mid ELO player!
play Singed well 1000 -> 1300.
play Ryze since he's super OP 1300 -> 1400.
play Warwick in case your team needs jungler, get fed and win 1400 -> 1700.
play Jarvan (counter-pick) and feed off enemy ranged carry.
call people that fail out -> ex: "REAL POPPY, die to red buff!" poppy overextends gets ganked "ALL:#1 POPPY FTW"
say "real" alot in game. like when your gold card bugs say: "real glitch get me killed." "real teammates don't save me.."
when you lose a teamfight go back to ALL chat and say "uh-oh, team is going FULL ******ED! GG"
get lucky with less ******s on your team than theirs.
^ increase ELO.
I know this because I'm #1 player in mobafire and am real pro at LoL and games in general. I give sick lessons for $100 an hour.

thanks, was quite interesting to read, however some days ago I've seen a television program where a guy got millionair up from living on the governments welfare by making up some kind of business, don't remember exactly what it was, he isn't the only one who did so, only in the tv program they showed 4 of those selfmade millionairs. They became rich while starting at 0.
One of them then said "I have no idea how you cannot become rich, it is so easy, apparently those who aren't millionairs don't work hard enough to become one"
that is exactly the same message as 5hit~ says about ELO hell
you know what that is? right, big ********
there are a billion people trying to become rich and it's not always those who have the best idea or who work hardest for it, even if they are able to do, it's those who have the most luck

PS: ye ofc there are aswell a lot of people who don't "deserve" it because they are to lazy/unskilled, but it's uncool to generalize it like he does
ah btw only people who are out of ELO hell (for me that is beneath 1200) say there is no ELO hell... waiting for season 2, if I then will get again there then I will apologize and uninstall LoL, until then I'll stick to my opinion
