While my original plan was giving aggressive Ezreal a chance by porting Win10Cent's Ez guide from LCraft, I see that some people don't feel comfortable with this approach to Ezreal at all.
While putting 21 points into the offensive tree may lose it's effectiveness mid into late game, I believe it's very useful for the first blood you're aiming for every match.
Quoting Win10Cent: "I feel like this is the way to go it's just so much easier to get first blood with this setup. I've tried to switch it around going deep in both the utility tree and defense tree but everytime i do i always feel like i'm swapping out damage for things i don't need as much such as mana regen or cooldown reduction. However if you feel like you don't like damage that much or just can't stand not having utility stuff then by all means go grab it. I suggest that if you want to follow my guide and become quite good while laning in mid then atleast try these masteries."
If we take this little portion of text as a general idea, there is no place for Manamune in this build, because it's not that necessary. However, I know that some builds depend heavily on Manamune and I can admit that it's very useful with somewhat different Ezreal playing styles that I'll mention it soon in this guide.
And while TriForce is a great and totally useful item, it's not a definite AD item, so if you'd take it earlier, you'd need to swap something out for it that's more important in this build. The reason for getting TriForce is actually just not needing gold for anything else late game, and so over time, it's possible to upgrade Sheen into it.
Hmmm. Time to post new thoughts.
Well since they changed the way the offensive tree works, 21 is not a bad option.
I would however probably still run a 15/15/0, or a 9/21/0 or something like that right now.
In reference to trinity Force not being a definite AD item... This makes me sad )= *Sadpanda
Trinity force is going to give you the best damage you can find, if purchased immediately after Manamune =o
<3.
Anyway this guide has worked out pretty well for me. I read your guide and win10cents guide and changed they way I play Ezreal. I started buying the runes you use and started taking exhaust and ignite. It's worked out so well. I remember going on a winning streak when I first started buying runes and playing Ezreal this way.
I love Win10Cent's guide! Thanks for bringing it to MOBAFire.
Note: I can't stress how amazing this rune setup is. If you find that the circumstances are right to get a Doran's Blade you end up with ~22 bonus dmg to start the game. I use this on just about every physical DPS champ I play now. Gives you an amazing advantage early on and you don't lose out on anything. I recommend this in my Teemo guide as well. Thanks to Win10Cent for the idea!
What people usually forget is that in early game every little bit of a stat means way much. It's like a big system with little values that make all the difference. Getting this rune build, masteries, summoner spells and buying Doran's Blade first makes you a serious threat in the first few levels against your lane foe.
I have decided the guide merit's a +1 but I hope you at least add a tidbit about Manamune.
Thank you!
