I agree he is strong, but a call for nerfs this soon is just one of trillions of examples of people wanting nerfs to do what their own game play should accomplish.
Shut him down. Keep him that way. Kind of like that other champion people complain like this about. What is that champs name? Oh all of them.

I'm in love with Rumble...he's my new favorite hero. But I have to admit, too often I've been able to take down 2 on 1, or if not, I can at least escape a gank pretty easily.
It IS in large part due to other player stupidity, though. Yes, his flame thrower and ult are crazy painful, but when both players stand in front of Rumble AND don't bother to move out of ult range, rather than maneuvering their positions for minimum damage, it's inevitable that they die.
He's kind of tough, but definitely no tank. He's a strong hero and it takes mindful effort to take him down, not just spamming your spells at him. And that's why I think some people are crying for nerfs.
Ok with that said he's def op lol if 2 Melee hard dps champs say oh **** there's the flamethrower better run then ow ult I wish I was out of range when that's all there is is rumble then.... Jus sayin doesnt that sound fishy unless the guys your playing agains are shaco and Ashe that's like I'm just going to sit right in front of him and attack

+rep me if you like what I got to say. Semper Fi!
I like your banner Illuvirarian!
Anyways, he is just very to deal with in the lane especially if you are melee. You will have to switch if you are someone like xin or irelia as they will get denied fairly easily. Pair him up against a range carry in order to deal with him effective.
Yes, I can see that his early game is OP. However, he falls off like Renekton mid-late game. I like the idea of OP champions in lane. They should be champions that just flat dominate the laning phrase. Pantheon got nerfed to the ground just because his laning was too strong. You just have to learn to deal with them during this time. I don't want to see another Pantheon where he is either nerfed to hell or QQ all day.
If we are going to complain about laning power, lets go ahead and ask for a nerf on leblanc because she outclass him in laning power.

Special thanks to Xiaowiriamu for the banner!

Man, he is super strong early game. Played my first game as him and carried my team to a 4v5 win. Despite constant kill steals from a Shaco that would just hide and last hit with deceive lol.
Shaco 2goot.
