I'm fairly certain I made it clear I dislike the no tank/healer/dps concept and changing the dynamics of the game. Please read. Also, PvP is team-oriented, you should be able to rely on your team. The fact that you like the concept of the new system because you don't have to rely on your team as much to avoid getting roflstomped is pretty entertaining (though you'll still have to rely on teammates, so your problem will still be there). Anyway, I'm done checking this thread because I'm afraid I have nothing more to say. I'm not asking any of you to take my stance, nor do I care enough about GW2 to care about your opinions on the matter. GL

Why would it be entertaining? For all I know you could be one of the PvE players who has never touched PvP. At which point there's absolutely nothing wrong with loving PvE but at the same time it'd be pointless for me to try to convince you why the PvP structure in GW2 is terrible. I admit, PvE could definitely be entertaining and awesome, however, I never played PvE nor do I intend to. I only ever played PvE to purchase rare items that I couldn't get in PvP (such as my rare q7-16al inscript shield collection that I sunk a ton of ecto into (one shield for every +AL vs dmg type). And even then I didn't even "play" PvE. I had an abundance of wealth from PvP that I accumulated so I only ever beat the campaigns on my ranger and monk. In the end, I retired from GW with I played GvG for many years and went through many different metas, but everything I have heard about GW2 PvP disgusts me. Like I said, I'd much rather play starcraft 2 or league. I'm a high level zerg player in sc2 and in league I'm still rather new, but i enjoy it.
For all I know you like to eat dog food. Does it matter? No. Ad Hominem and Appeal to Authority fallacies. Learn them.
But just so you now, I'm a big PvP fan.
Also, you talk about how you hate PvE but you still haven't mentioned why the system screws up PvP. Not even once. In PvP all you have is DPS and Healers, and healers could already deal damage. How can giving the DPS a heal (which in most games DPS already have, be it in the form of potions, lifestealing, etc.) screw up the system?
The PvP is practically left untouched, the only thing they changed is the PvE.

Again, you not only fail to say why it'll screw up PvP but you even contradict yourself. You said that you don't like the new system because you don't need to rely on your team, but then you say that with the new system you still have to rely on your team. So, why the hell do you not like it?
Of course you have nothing more to say, you had nothing to say from the beginning. All you're doing is saying you dislike the system for no reason at all. The reasons you gave actually point to you liking the system, not the opposite.
Still, if you're going to make blind accusations without any reason at all please stay silent. That's nothing but insulting.

Still yet a good post from you. + rep

Credits to Scrax for the awesome sig!
BTW, just to clarify. Everyone being able to support or deal DPS does not mean he can do it at the same time. It's like a paladin in WoW, he can respecc and he's good to go. In GW2 you just need to change your weapons or skills (forgot the name they used) and you'll change roles. If you're a geomancer you can just switch from fire to water and you'll get healing skills. If you're a warrior you need to equip a warhorn and you'll get support skills. Your second set of skills (in the right bar) need to be chosen before you fight though, so a support will most likely take support spells, where a dps will take dps spells.
I'm pretty sure each player will have a role during the battle, but he can easily switch or compensate for the lack of a role by changing his weapons or class skills.

I will not be purchasing this. As a former 1600 ELO infuse, I do not like the direction that they are taking this game. GvG was quite possibly my favorite PvP system from any game (Codex Arena later was not far behind) and I can't imagine having the same kind of fun in a GW PvP setting without a backline. I understand what they're trying to achieve here with the no DPS/no healer profession, but I just don't see it being as entertaining for PvP. I'd much rather play SC2 or LoL
He said what he disliked here and referenced it afterwards. I don't think its particularly difficult to follow his viewpoint. He dislikes the fundamental changes and would rather play another game from the sounds of it.

Yeah, he said he disliked the system.. He didn't give a reason for it.
