- but i will say that with all good and supportive, i don't think it gives enough dmg in the time it takes to get the build :/ my game is ended when i have bought my 80+ ap thing for rabandons deathcap :/.
Would love if you could maybe make another one like a champion more so you have 2 Oriannas in the build and 2 different builds :). cause i would love to get a build there focus a bit more on the early and midgame damage :).
Anyway, good guide, like it, and by all means keep tweaking it. +1
Ill go in peace.
@ Quo:
I appreciate the suggestions, but I have to say I disagree on nearly every point.
First of all, did you try out the build before bashing it?
1. Mag pen is useful whether stacked or not, and I also have sorc shoes in the build.
2. Yes Health crystal, it has worked better for me than any other starting item I've tried, as I said in the build several times. Also your suggestion of phil. stone is unpractical, as it means delaying catalyst and ROA which is not worth it (And FYI, she is already an unstoppable force with this build)
3. Masteries. Honestly, I haven't played around with a lot of different mastery sets for her, BUT this build is based on her as a mage, and I reccomend the CDR and utility masteries. I may consider trying out 9 in def though.
4. I like Rylai's a lot on her as the slow wins teamfights mid and late game. I get that you would do it different, but it works for me. I don't want a second ROA because you're wasting the unique passive, and she doesn't need more mana at this point in the game. Not sure how many times I've said that I don't have mana problems with this build.
5. If you actually read the items section through, you'd see that I say that I'm considering taking Malady out of the Build. The one point I agree on is that a Gunblade might be a better option.
6. I use sheen/lichbane for the extra damage from the one auto attack after her spells. that's all, it doesn't have a lot to do with her passive, though it does help.
Honestly though, it sounds like you haven't tried out the build. I think it would be in very bad form to downvote my guide without giving it the slightest chance.
That being said, thanks for the comment anyways, and we'll have to agree to disagree I guess. I suggest you write your own build, and I'm not saying that to mock you or anything you've said here.
1. Ask many pros, or watch their guide videos. Its only a viable statistic when it is stacked, and only meant to be used if you are capable of being able to down a tank due to their high resistance. Being as shes not able to down a tank (even with sorc shoes, late game), then stacking M.Pen with her isnt the best idea. Not when the CDR will boost her damage output significantly as every time you attack the lich will have proc'd.
2. Starting Phil. Stone is a phenominal idea. It saves you on health potions (due to the hp5), and gives you bonus mp5 (which you will be lacking as they are mp5/lv runes). Its more viable than having just flat health, because if you get targeted, you can recover without backing if you are lacking hp potions by sitting at the turret. Very viable, and the passive gold/10 means that youre going to be able to afford your catalyst and more when its time to back for it.
Also she is not an unstoppable force in lane. There are many ways to counter her, and she can easily take some damage and be forced to back. It all depends on who you're laning against. Malz, Corki, Kassadin are three terrific champs who can counter her without a problem.
3. Play around with it, i prefer the 21/0/9, having that extra 4% damage helps with the lich, etc. Having the 7 poits in defensive helps with her hp5/mana and provides some awesome stats that make her tanky for a caster when using command: protect.
4. The unique passive isnt the goal for this item. The 15% slow wont win late game, because your other teammates will have CC, and you already have CC built in (a well placed W will serve a better purpose than a 15% slow from a Q). The goal for this item is to give you MORE health than a rylai's scepter, and then more mana as well. It really does make a big difference as youll have over 3K hp, and youll be a couple hundred short with your rylai's, and youll have more mana, with the same AP.
5. Make the switch to gunblade after youve played around with masteries. I would not suggest it fully unless you are going to go 21/0/9. Youll only feel its full effect afterwards.
Finally, i will end with this. Ive ran into people running your build. The problems are: When you buy the rylai's, usually they will have more mana problems than i will, and ill be gaining more health as i stay in lane. Ill be able to easily do more damage going 21/0/9 with a lichbane. Its a practical build, sure, but it can be beat on damage output and sustainability if you took the time to compare the damage output.
+1 anyways.
Great build and +1 like said before :)
