Orianna Build Guide by DUSTANDECHOES

No, you're an idiot. This is how you build her.

Thanks Iaintnolowbob. I guess you just like trolling all the guides.

I won't upvote it, but I also won't downvote it...I will just write my honest opinion:

I Think that's not the way you're supposed to play her as you say...yeah I know, her passive is great, but only early game, bceause every "experienced" player will get magicresist later in the game. Since you're not getting magicpenetration of any description the damageoutput will fall greatly.

I'm playing Orianna pretty often, and there were some who tried AS/AP-Hybrid, but they've all lost to AP-Orianna build (so far), because of her short-range, and they didn't do enough damage to even scare a Twisted Fate of (Which is one of the most squishiest Champs ingame).

And last but not least...Manaregen Marks? Really? you wanna waste your IP that badly?

Just some thoughts. If you don't like it well I don't mind, since you're not getting any Vote from me it shouldn't matter that much.

P.S.: Sry, my native language is german, so I guess there are going to be many maaaany grammarmistakes.

Thanks Si11yPutty,

I'll definitely look into it and change the build accordingly.

I like leveling up Dissonance and Protect first, and I think you might like it too, give it a try, as these will save you and your team mates more, and you already have the CDR to lower the cooldown on attack more. I use Attack for ball position more than damage, and I think the extra slow from the shield will get you some really nice Auto-Attacks off early. Also it scales better and will save your *** more. The shield debate is up for debate but I think Dissonance will be the main skill for her, give it a try, and let me know what you find.

I meant more like "not having 18 marks and 18 seals." It throws off the build thing.

Also, with regard to the wards, I don't play ranked. I only play Normal games.

This being said, wards aren't really that necessary in Normal games.I find spending money to appease paranoia (not Nocturne's ultimate) doesn't help people to get their builds done.

Good gameplay and teamwork/communication reduces the need for wards in a normal game.
I can't speak for Ranked though.

Thanks for the tips, guys!

I really like your thoughts on Command: Dissonance, LadyRayz.
Placing Command: Protect on yourself and the using Command: Dissonance is a great way to escape.
Like I said, those are the runes I have, but by no means are they the best. I'm not going to tell people what runes to buy because, chances are, that they won't go and buy a full page of runes according to my build just to play one champion. They're going to use what they have.

I tried Tear of the Goddess on Orianna, and I wasn't too impressed. Sure the AP you get from Archangel's Staff is great, but My build is focused on hybrid, which is where I feel she really shines. I also find her to be better at early and mid game rather than a really long game. I feel that Nashor's Tooth is really the way to go as your first item. Especially for the CDR. With the 9% you get from masteries, 34% is beast with one item.

Rod of Ages is a great item, but I just love Rylai's. You can grab it whenever you want and don't have to worry about getting ten minutes to let it grow. I'll try out different things and see how they work.

Thanks,

Don't have Orianna. I would re-evaluate Rylai's like Ensign said. I'm not sure how it works with Command:attack. It's well written but, I don't think you should be telling people to not buy wards. Your ball will act as a ward but, it greatly limits your attacking/defending powers.
Glad to see I'm not the only grammar freak out there too.

Upvoting as soon as I can. I see the Nashor's Tooh and I love it already. Though I would reevalutate the effectiveness of Rylai's as she has no single-target spells and the fact that she already has a slow. Maybe get a RoA earlier instead, like after Codex earlier. Or throw in a Goddess Tear to eventually build into an Archangel's.
Also clean up the runes, get Mana Regen yellows and Attack Speed reds.

The build has worked best for me by far. Nicely done :)
