Hello.
Recently we have been gifted with a 3 champion sneak peek. All of them look awesome. Skarner is my personal favourite right now (SK fan from DoTA). The part about the 3 new champions that are on their way, is the much requested female tank, Leona . I kinda have a feeling that there going to be a lot of debate over this champ. One reason being what her ult might be ( I am aware this is not official stuff yet);
- Leona: "The Radiant Dawn." Female tank with a fire/sun theme. Her ultimate is a beam of light that she can place somewhere on the map that slows enemies inside the area for 1.5 seconds, then a giant wave of light crashes down, dealing stun and damage to everyone in the area.
Hammer of Dawn? gears anyone? If you have played Gears before you know that the hammer sh!ts on people's head like a swarm of a thousand pigeons. This is just a purely overkill skill. Double CC (slow and stun), it does damage and i think it might be a global? "she can place somewhere on the map"

Uhhh wut? also from the preview on League of legends website http://www.leagueoflegends.com/news/riot-games-e3 Leona is said to be Beefy, tanky and dish out damage... She so a little OP. like everyone will QQ about this. I want to get a feedback from what you all think about this champ and if she should have this ridiculous ult.

Can't say anything until we get some numbers to back it up. I doubt it will be global since Riot is placing a lot of emphasis on making global champions weaker. Still, since you can't really use that to split push, we won't know until results come out.

Everyone seems to be comparing Leona's ult to the Hammer of Dawn, but am I the only person who upon first hearing about her ult immediately thought of the skill Ray of Judgement aka the Jesus Beam from Guild Wars?

All that aside, I agree with Jebus, a large handful of the new champs "sound op" but we won't know anything until we get more details.

A large portion also sound UP as well and became quite popular later on, need I remind you? :P
Irelia, Renekton, Swain, Lux, etc.

And I never liked Ray of Judgment as a skill anyway. Smite monks weren't that good, besides the occasional Shield/55 monk that you used for farming PvE.

All very true, I absolutely agree. I never used Ray of Judgement much myself, that's just how I'd imagine Leona's ult would look like

yeah, and i think everyone was saying that galio would be op until we saw the ratio on his passive and the ratio on his skills.

Sure, it may do damage and CC...but is that damage going to be 100 points? Then you will feel silly for saying that the skill is OP.

i'm going to guess 500 base damage. at level 3

sona's is 350, however as leona's has a delay it should do more damage. although it could do even more depending on the ratio if any.
