I do like this build but some of the things you do confuse me. First are your marks, they dont make sense. Why run a secondary rune on a section of runes that benefits Yorick the most. Marks are basically attack runes and you are using them for defense which is a waste of money too be honest. You are much better off with Marks of Strength for AD. Second thing I found is your item build dont get me wrong I like parts of it I am not a fan of. You really should considering dropping the dorans shield, the meki pendant is alot more viable because it will give you the mana regen to fix the problems you have early game. Sure your gonna get harassed but your E should heal that damage.

Your magic resistance is in a good spot but your armor is way to high for yorick, sure you can build him tanky but your armor is over 100 over your AD, and yorick depends on AD. I suggest dropping the thornmail, frozen heart and banshees and getting an atmas, warmogs and bloodthirster instead. That will still make for a tanky yorick.

Other then that your build isnt all that bad I just think it needs some changes. Please note this is my personal OPINION and I do not mean to be insulting you in anyway, there are of course multiple ways to build a champion and if your build works then it works but I find it a bit strange.

Had to make an account just to tell you we totally think alike. I do alot of the same things, except my masteries are in utility instead of offensive. My runes are more DPS too. I've been trying to start out with Tiamat as my first item since I found out it gives you HP regen and MP regen, to try boosting my early game a little. My other item set for Yorick totally goes the way you do it, pretty crazy. Well great build, I voted one, hope to see more info about Yorick from you, unless we were both thinking it at the same time already.

After some testings, i think yorik is the perfect solo-laner. His e gives you, if you level it up first, lifereg like warwick or udyr. Because of this, you only get outlaned by mana-problems. For this you have the tear^^.

Well, Yorik is an epic solo-laner.^^

YDeathcap won't help Yorick if that's what you mean. All spells do dmg based of his attack dmg.

I had been using other guides a bit and found that they were lacking two things - Mana regen early game - Arch or Masum are always my favorites for that, and they try to play both sides of the row. Building 1 or 2 AD and AP items bit never committing. When you get down to late game you are literally doing no damage at that point cause either the things your hitting have a better build, more armor for your damage to get stopped, or anything else.

Seeing a guide that builds Masum first, and works from there is a plus for me. I think we need to figure out what will benefit more for Yorick. I love that AD effects War - but I think AP might help more. And with Masum it gives you AD anyways. So I was thinking either Hextech if the Spell vamp is included from ghoul damage or getting a big daddy AP item. I find once I get a few kills and in a nice lane, I get the 1600 for Needlessly large rod quickly. Do you think deathcap is possible?

Heres my logic - your Masum gets you to about 140+ AD, Plus boots (which ever), then Deathcap - your looking at 3 items, 140+ AD, About 200+ AP with 3 items to do. You can get one defense item (which is dependable.) and STILL 2 more items for you to play with. You need more Defense? Sure... you want to build Trinity Edge? Sure! You want either Scepter? Sure. You have 2 items to play with however you choose.

I have been playing Yorick for about 50 games this week since he was free and I love him. But, wanted your thoughts since your guide seemed to be the only on working correctly.

I was wondering, is Magic shoes any good idea for Yorick? Since 2 of his spells are magic spells?

Great build btw, Manamune is aswm for Yorick

Keep in mind boosting your mana will also help Manamune whit boosting your dmg.

Do you realize that your Greater Marks of Resilience are a secondary rune? That seems a little ridiculous when he can benefit probably a good deal more from AD or armor pen runes. I'm not sure if I can upvote your guide while it's there...I'm probably being unreasonable but it just feels wrong to me.

The rest of your guide looks pretty good imho.

Once I get my Sheens extra Mana, I tend to be fine with Mana. I really think the Manamune might not be worth it in the long run.

I thought this at first too but after doing the math (and building more for dps) I realized that I could get over 3000 mana by end of game which gives me 60 AD on top of the 20 AD manamune already gives... plus all the mana it gives for spamming. It really is a must no matter what build you do for Yorick

This guide is the only reason I started playing Yorick again. It gave me some hope. I believe its the best Yorick starter guide and definately the best Bruiser/Offtank Yorick guide available. It is definately viable. I recently created what I think is the best DPS guide for this underpowered champion and gave you some props in the guide especially since it gave me some ideas to build it. Not trying to hijack your guide here just letting you see what I did with what you inspired me with.

You can check it out here: Yorick AD + CDR + Ghouls = Death (no Reanimation for you)

+1 from me for this guide :) and thanks!
