What ability progression would you suggest for mid-lane AP Alistar? Obviously this may change some depending on the game, but a general idea.

Max Headbutt first, followed by knockup and throw one or two points of heal in between, depending on how much dmg you take.

El Psy Congroo.

So which ability would you go for first? Headbutt at level one or heal?

What ability you get on Alistar depends completely on what your level 1 situation is.

For example, if i was playing Ali and i ran into a level 1 teamfight, i would probably pick up Headbutt for the focusing help.

If i was top just farming, I'd pick up heal for the cheap trample.

I Might pick up Pulverize if i was stealing wraiths with my Team or some such silliness.
Tri lane for life.

I would think Headbutt first due to some nice zoning. Then pulverize or the heal.

Thank you to jhoijhoi for the sig, and all the dividers in the guide.

Oh sorry :)

I have to admit that i hadn't really read the OP :p

If i was going to mid i would probably pick up headbutt, it will keep you out of the major harass until level 2 when you can get pulverize (If the lane is THAT easy that you can kill them at 2) or heal if they are a pretty even match.
Tri lane for life.
