The World of Middle-Earth...In Minecraft!

[img]http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/7349/bannermordorintroductio.png[/img] Minecraft Middle-Earth, or MCME for short, is a collaborated effort of dedicated players that has set out to recreate the world of Middle-Earth in block form to scale - from the darkness of Mirkwood, to the proud towers of Minas Tirith, every inch of Tolkien's world is going to be replicated in Minecraft. This server is a seamless world - you can literally follow the steps of the Fellowship in game! Just to walk in-game from Bag End to the East Gate of Moria takes almost 3 hours real time alone! Many other large-scale projects out there also boast huge expanses of terrain, but only Minecraft Middle-Earth can say that the projects here are all done [i]by hand[/i]. Yup, countless hours of our dedicated players have been invested into this server, and countless more will follow. The server has been up for around 8 months now, with project planning going on even well before that. Plus, the server backs it self up and such very often, making rollbacks possible if necessary. Fortunately, our security measures have been good enough so far! :P[/quote]
