You have it on a screen saver setting so it goes back to the welcome screen on resume.
I had that for a while. Saved my life a couple times when I had important work and my brother was around.

I need to start constantly reminding me to lock my computer, lawl. I got my revenge on my brother, though. He's now a female, married with his bestfriend. He enjoys long walks on the beach, being stroked through the hair, and wild underwater sex (and some few other things).
