Also, I wouldn't take an early point in essence flux, ever. It's too costly and you can fire your mystic shot twice in the time it take to cooldown, sooo.... I would also take 1 point in utility mastery because I grab blue as often as I can. Also, I never build sheen. Ever. Ever. it's sort of a trap, even late game.
However, overall you seem to understand what's important on Ezreal and what's not. Most guides up here seem to be a shot in the dark from someone who's played Ezreal a dozen times. I personally have about 200 game in as Ezreal and I have probably experimented with his build more than anyone I've come across. At any rate, cheers on what looks to be a decent build!

Another (small) thing is that i don't really understand why you take Burning Embers (improved Ignite) It gives bonus AP and you're almost completly focused on AD.
I decided that you were completely correct with this and switched the one mastery point from Burning Embers to Sunder.
As for Burning Embers, the extra damage that it would put towards Ezreal's skills could help a bit with the early game harassment. However, putting the point to another mastery wouldn't hurt too much either.
Sword of the occult is one of those items that's a risk, if you play bad early youplay bad mid. If you play good early you play great mid. But as you said Ezreal is squisy and easily dies is you're playing a bit to offensive. Also trusting that you will have 20 stacks for the movement speed is kinda unreal, get kills get focus.
