Karthus strategy

I was wondering how well an anti death time strategy work on a karthus. He gets a 20% reduced death time passive, 10% from masteries and 15% from runes, that's 45% reduced death times whch means around 40 mins in, they're gonna be about 30 sec, which is a lot more useful than 15 more starting ap or something right? I don't play karthus so I don't know if it would be something that works.

You don't need reduced death time, and especially Karthus who already has his passive, doesn't need it. You could get alot more useful Runes and you have to die really really often to make the red death time runes worth it.

@Vaellen:
Karthus mindset is:
Die at some point in the middle of the Teamfight, cast Ultimate, deal massive dmg with Q and E.
And all of that for no mana.

Even if you don't die often, one gank at baron, 40 mins in and you would be out for a good 60 sec. You only get like 400 gold's worth of ap from quints don't you? but you don't get reduced death anywhere :P

Also, to the people who always say just don't die, how many games do you have where you don't die at all?

That was one of the things that made suicide karthus (4 archangels, rabadons, and sorc shoes) so powerful. Now, with reduced undeath time and an increased death timer, karthus cannot suicide as easily and still be an asset.

The time he spends in 'ghost form' in his passive counts as time off his death timer since that patch, therefore he does get -7 seconds off his timer. The old percent reduction was still better late game though, and it had the 8 second ghostie :c.

I die an average of 2 times in solo queue with Ezreal, and most times I don't die at all if someone actually isn't a noob and picks up a tank.

I never really die in premades.

Ezreal's Arcane Shift is not to be underestimated! + He can own almost anyone 1v1 with that burst damage and exhaust/ignite. Level 2 mid kill ftw! :D

Ezreal is not Karthus. In order for Karthus to deal the bulk of his damage, he must run right into the middle of the enemy team, which will often result in his death.
