But you are surely welcome to remain farsighted and I will continue to mop the floor with your ignorance. And to the person who called this a "troll build"- you're especially ignorant. No build should be called that, unless perhaps it's something as irrational an AP character being built for AS or some such.
+1 from me.
You're missing the point. It's just fine to build her with a few tanky items, but she needs to be built AS instead of AD. In case you didn't read, her Silver Bolts does percentage damage.
In this build I try to combine AS with tankiness. The additional items I take are highly situational and I do feel that the Atmog's is essential to the build, afterwards I will usually build my zeal, then it all depends on their teamcomp, if I want to go for more damage I will usually go madred's + phantom dancer (however games usually don't last this long), and this is the most common case. The other items listed I only put as viable because in some situations they are better items than a phantom dancer and madred's. I feel like without the atma's she would not be tanky enough to be able to take focus from their team and still come out alive, all the while dealing huge damage, also it just synergizes so well with warmogs. Of course, if you don't want to build Vayne tanky then Atmog's is a huge waste of cash -.- If my tank items were banshees and GA instead, I would be nowhere near as tanky lategame and I would still be considered quite squishy and a good target to focus.
The only items that are truly AD in this build would be the last whisper and hexdrinker (items that are highly situational), as all the other items add AS to her (apart from the Atmog's of course), so I don't really know what you're on about with the whole, this build is more of an AD build than AS build as I feel like with the runes, masteries and items, the focus is much more on attack speed than attack damage.
I understand that pure AS Vayne (madred's, no atmog's etc) is the best in terms of pure DPS, however I find this build simply easier to play and use since if I wanted I could basically eat while I decide to autoattack whoever I want in the game without having to worry much about positioning.
Maybe it would be best if I removed the Last Whisper and Hexdrinker from this build as I know a lot of people follow build orders by the exact items as they are listed.
By the way, in the game you played, did you feel like you did better early game or late game? Sometimes I find myself feeding early on (0-4 etc) but then late game catch up as I build my Atmog's and my score will shoot up (let's say 9-5). And usually if I have a good early game and get fed early, then I will kind of have a lackluster midgame whilst I build my Atmog's and then once it is built I will dominate again.
+1
Definitely try it out before voting, think I definitely found my main Vayne build.
I dont think Atmas is a good choice with this little health. It'll give you 37 more ad. Which is VERY little.
Considering that her health would be over 3000 with a Warmog's at level 18 it will actually be more like an additional 60 or more damage. In addition you will crit around 50% of your hits which means even MORE damage. When I crit, I can one hit the melee minions with just the core items in this build.
I was really hoping that people would actually think outside the box and be willing to try a build out before automatically coming to the conclusion that a certain build order sucked, and see that there was more than just one way to build a certain champion. Like the people who downvoted me, I myself thought this would never work, until I saw it played on a high ELO stream and then I later played against it and got absolutely destroyed by it. It is only when this hapenned that I tried it out and discovered just how good it is. I used to build the typical pure dps, pretty much glass cannon build however (dorans, berserksers greaves, madreds, phantom dancer, etc), after experimenting I find this build simply better and more effective, especially once the game goes into the lategame because it's actually possible to get caught in a bad position and survive and still pretty much kill the enemies as fast as with a pure dps build.
But I mean, if people want to downvote without even trying it out, then I guess that's cool and I can keep using this little secret formula for myself and the other few who are willing to steer a bit from the norm. It's funny, because I feel like this is a lot like the case of people once believing lanewick and lanedyr were useless, or how Alistar could never go AP, and then pros started using it and all of a sudden they became the FOTM. Well recently, I've seen high ELO players on pro streams using the atmogs build, and I do believe that people will see its viability soon enough.
