I have to say it does look pretty damn fun, I've always enjoyed the capture and drain points style mechanics in other games, and it seems like there's no need to farm at all in order to afford items.
Plus, maybe the 20 minute length and the reduced penalties for death will encourage less flaming on this map.

i wonder if they've disabled gold per 5.
its also annoying seeing the icons for disabled items (ie catalyst still shows it builds into banshees)

I don't think they disabled them, but 5 GP10 will be basically nothing with the massive increase in natural GP10 and it would be less likely to pay for itself in a 20 minute game so I can't seem them being used much.

Much more, I'd say 20 GP10 at least. I've had a HoG, philo, kage and gold mastery for a total of 16 before and it wasn't going up that fast.
Also Lugi it's gold per ten, not gold per five. Everyone says five for some reason, but it isn't.

#1: More people will play LoL. So either RIOT improves things or "old" player will just quit because the game is unplayable.
#2: Again, the server is instable. idk if everyone was affected last time, but I got the luck to have problems before and now and free RP isnt gonna make me happy.
