Mid amumu... what?

[/quote] Depending on who plays him. I've never seen another Amumu lane with much success. But thinking that just because you haven't seen it happen means it can't happen, and relying too much on theory and statistics aren't always good bro. That is the mark of a baddie (the former). ;o Now I've seen you around the forum a lot, especially Theorycrafting and agree with you on a lot of points and respect you in that way; but getting arrogant is never good. You see it with the pro players a lot, busting out new builds and meta changes which end up to be effective. Also, many champions can be more effective if played in a certain way, with a certain build, and certain team compositions. Sure, Jungle Amumu may be better but I choose to buy champions instead of the runes I need because I like to play a huge variety of characters. Also, I'm only a pretty recent level 30 with 210ish wins or so on my main account. So I'm not playing in some high elo or anything. But still, I lane with Amumu all the time and have wrecked with him, busting out crazy flashes, ults, tower dives and more because that's how I play, and it works for me. So just because you haven't seen it before, don't assume that it can't happen. Cause then you're gonna get raped by it and I'm gonna come around going "Trolololol00l, obvious baddie" ;P[/quote]

[/quote] I wouldn't be surprised because you have a lot more experience than me. Shit, I'm still learning and tryin to get better. But at my current level with the people I play with, I've dominated with lane Amumu. And I've been matched up against all sorts of enemy laners. I don't go out all gung-ho right off the bat and try to be aggressive. Sometimes I can, and others I have to play carefully and wait for them to slip up or get in just the wrong position for me flash stun gank or whatever. My point is, things in LoL change a lot with all the nerfs, buffs, ect and people just simply changing up the meta a bit or playing a different and unexpected way. Just because we haven't seen something happen yet, doesn't mean it can't. But before some one may have seen a solo top udyr and been "loOoOl what a baddie" and then they saw it was effective and QQ. EDIT: Also, I assume that we aren't talking about Amumu in a solo lane. I know the thread started off with Amumu solo mid but I hope you don't think I'm stupid enough to solo top with Amumu. o_O; And doing well in a duo lane with Amumu also depends on my lane partner.[/quote]

[/quote] Well yea, I think we both agree Amumu is awful in a solo lane. I mean, MAYBE solo mid against the right opponent, but basically any intelligent ranged will just kite him and destroy. That would probably only work at low levels, and even I wouldn't want to try that. But in a duo lane, with the right partner, I find Amumu can lane very well if played correctly and a lane partner that knows how to communicate. Amumu is a tank and I play him as such (or a bit of AP-offtankish actually) and I know I depend on the rest of my team to do well.[/quote]
