Seriously? He's only good for his CC and ult tbh.
Triforce Ali requires you to hit them. Which yes, would work with blitz.
Nighthawk your posts always make me lawl.
Alistar is one of the most over powered champions in the game. You can't nerf Alistar by nerfing his AP ratios and skill's damage.
You'd have to literally change his skills.

Really don't recommend Tear, AAS, or Manamune on Blitz. It takes him a long damn time to stack up that passive, and without it stacked up it underperforms for the cost. There are better options for AD if you need AD and better options for defense if you need defense. Triforce is fantastic on Blitz and I'd say he's one of the heroes that use it best. Frozen Heart is also amazing on him (second maybe only to Singed since Empowered Bulwark is basically a better version of Mana Barrier), and BV is just a good item overall.
Everything here is basically spot on.
The second build listed, I didn't as much agree with, but Trinity Force Frozen heart is every game build for me. That's Blitz's core I think.

I usually get Trinity Force after I have decent armor and MR. I feel Blitzcrank is too squishy to be played as a tank without getting defensive items first since he has no innate armor/MR skills in his kit. If you're playing him more like a bruiser, then you'd wanna rush Trinity Force and then after that... I dunno, I don't play him as a bruiser much.
Gunblade would probably work pretty well on him. He has excellent AP ratios on his ult and hook to use the AP (don't underestimate a hook that hits for 500 damage on top of dragging you into the enemy team), Overdrive and Power Fist make use of the AD, the drain is... okay, I guess, and the on-use is fantastic for him - fist, hook, fist, gunblade, laugh.
I suppose he could use Rageblade alright as well - again, his ult gets a 100% AP coefficient, and an AOE for 700 dmg every ~18 seconds is pretty ridiculous.
Building bruiser though, I'd probably rush Trinity Force and after that... I dunno. He has the attack speed to make Black Cleaver work, so that's another option for him. If I'm having a money game I'm more likely to rush a Leviathan or Sword of the Occult than anything else and then probably put a Guardian Angel in there somewhere to preserve the stacks.

well u said tear wouldnt b good but i think it is strong if u get a lane where u can farm alot. If u can actually get an early manamune+ sheen that will pay off lategame (the problem is just to pull it off^^)

No it really won't. Manamune even when fully stacked is not an end game item in any way shape or form.
Sheen will make your early mid game strong, and build into something useful, as will Glacial shroud.

Manamune will provide about as much AD as a Bloodthirster when fully stacked, and with about 3,000 Mana. So why not just buy a damned Bloodthirster if it's AD you're after?
Frozen Heart will provide 500 Mana, 99 Armor, and an extremely strong AD debuff, which more than makes up for the 500 less mana.
Seriously, don't make Tear or Manamune or Archangel's. You're just embarrassing yourself and making the rest of us look bad. ("Oh look it's that Blitz who isn't a threat lul")

He's getting too caught up in the passive.
It's what Singed players do too, and it's easy to do.
But, it's not worth it at the end of the day. I'd recommend a good old sheen / glacial shroud rush to all new Blitz players.

oh thanks you told me, im just ganna mail TSM CLG and co and tell them they shouldnt be playing alistar anymore! Huge contribution to the NA metagame.
Now b2t: I played blitzcranks as support, as csing botlaner and as toplaner. I play him as support every once in a while and have great success with it (carrying the **** out of soloQ as support^^) or i sometimes play him toplane where he kinda fits if you can pull it off. The problem with blitzcrank is, that he wont get to many cs in early laning and he has a very low tolerance for mistake. Every little mistake will cost you a lot. But if you can pull it off and go for the full mana build aka manamune triforce frozeh heart banshees, you will be wrecking people np. Laning gets alot easyer after you got your sustain going ie ALOT OF MANA with strength of spirit (****load of regen!!!) and from that point on you can cs freely and out harass alot of toplaners.
TL;DR: Blitz is a great support for low elo games and can carry games on his back as a toplaner if pulled off correctly

I usually end up doing a build like Hexdrinker, Frozen Heart, Merc Treads, Sheen, and everything else is subjective. I tried a game with Wriggles earlier and I actually really liked it. It provides AD, armor, the proc helps with farm/dragon/baron (and makes it much easier to get red or blue if you somehow don't have someone else that can make better use of them), and free wards are just baller. I always run Clairvoyance so the free ward from Wriggles combined with CV really reduces the amount of cash I need to spend on wards to keep up my share of the warding costs.
