'Ello, I'm Seraph and i'm offering services as a DPS mentor who specializes as Tryndamere for lower to mid level players (Wins should be around 100-400 because I can't afford to be teaching complete game basics, sorry. :( ) I'm also always seeking mentors to increase my knowledge of Tryndamere, Mordekaiser, Mundo, and general tactics.

Before you look me up in the game, please at least take a general look at my guide (link is in the signature) so that you'll at least know my gameplay style. My username is the same in-game as it is here.

My general approach to teaching will be to play normal games with me against players of my own level and above (immersion/sink-or-swim style training). I'll probably play some random character while you play as Trynd and i walk you through the basics. I can play as many games as you're willing to play but do not waste my time, please. I only want to train those who are willing to actually learn and accept new ideas.

My credentials:

Author of my own guide to Tryndamere (Not new to DPS gameplay.)
550 wins (I know how to play in general.)
550+ losses (I've learned, A LOT, from trial and error.)
Have played and won several dozen ranked games as Tryndamere.

Full range of services:

Tryndamere tutoring
Mordekaiser tutoring
General tutoring
DPS tutoring
Ranked gameplay tutoring
Off-design theory tutoring (Using characters as different types than they were designed for. Using mundo as a straight dps for example.)
Counter-Tank / Counter-DPS tutoring

Anyone looking to improve their skills is welcome. I may not be the best but I'm happy to share what I do know ^^. I generally hang around the North American servers but if you request it i'll play on an EU server.

Je parle francais aussi.
Ich kann (nur ein bisschen) Deutsch sprechen.

I don't know how relevant you'd see this as, but I don't think you should get two Phantom Dancers on Trynd, nor should you get Berserker's Greaves. Just before you start mentoring, I am going to let you know; you will almost always need Mercury's Treads on about any melee champion, and stacking the same item twice or more usually leads to bad results. I also think that you should consider one survival item, such as Banshee's Veil, Frozen Heart(for raping AD carries), Thornmail(same with the latter), Quicksilver Sash(if you don't have cleanse, for clearing ignite, stun, snare, slow, any CC, red buff and Mordekaiser's ulti before moving out and healing with Q) or Frozen Mallet(does not give as much tankiness, but makes you an epic chaser).

Good luck with finding students/mentors regardless.

An in depth guide with bad information and reasoning is still a bad guide. I'm on an iPad right now but later I'll make sure to point out things I have a problem with in your tryn guide.

Side note....how many games do u have with tryn?

Baxxie,

"I don't know how relevant you'd see this as, but I don't think you should get two Phantom Dancers on Trynd, nor should you get Berserker's Greaves."

Almost anyone who mains Tryndamere will tell you that those are two of the most important items in a trynd build. Two phantom dancers bring you up to a 100% critical chance when you get a bit of fury, provide 100% attack speed boost, and bring you into the 400 movement speed range without boots. But I do respect other opinions on the effectiveness of this. However, Merc Treads provide no real bonus to Trynd other than a slight bit of survivability (I know, everyone freaks out about Trynd's susceptability to CC and I really do understand that). The point with Trynd isn't really to survive so much as it is to provide damage and learn how to survive on skill rather than item bonuses. But I will take that suggestion into account, I'm releasing different attack / defense types of builds and strategies so I can cover methods like this for those who really don't like to be such a pusher / straight damage.

"Just before you start mentoring, I am going to let you know; you will almost always need Mercury's Treads on about any melee champion, and stacking the same item twice or more usually leads to bad results."

I do perfectly fine without merc treads. And yes, on many champions it's awful to stack the same item twice. However, because of Trynd's passive and role in the game, it's perfectly fine to stack two bloodthirsters and two phantom dancers in the name of simplicity and effectiveness. I'd go into the theory of why but it's early in the morning and I don't feel like it. XD I'd be happy to do so if asked tho ^^

"I also think that you should consider one survival item, such as Banshee's Veil, Frozen Heart(for raping AD carries), Thornmail(same with the latter), Quicksilver Sash(if you don't have cleanse, for clearing ignite, stun, snare, slow, any CC, red buff and Mordekaiser's ulti before moving out and healing with Q) or Frozen Mallet(does not give as much tankiness, but makes you an epic chaser)."

I'm in the process for making side-builds for these kind of attack styles. Don't worry, I'm fully aware most people like to have at least one defense-support item XD. (I even say in the guide itself that I do realize the need for it in many situations. And I give my own thoughts about it therein) Personally I do recommend items like sunfire/frozen mallet/frozen heart as a last item for those who aren't quite so focused on attack. But as for myself, I believe that 2225 hp at level 18 fully satisfies my needs for HP-defense. But that's just for me.

And thank you ^^
I'll be sure to use this as a basis for some guide corrections.

Jeffy,

Like I said in the guide, i'm always looking for things I did wrong. I'm not a writer so I can't exactly fully convey all the thoughts I'm wanting to. But when you do bring to my attention something that needs correction, please don't come across like this: "An in depth guide with bad information and reasoning is still a bad guide." There was zero need for that and I get the feeling the only reason you said that is because you're used to morons who have no idea what they're talking about offering mentorships or waltzing about the forums saying that they've written the best bloody guide ever. I claim neither of those things. I am neither a moron, nor is my guide perfect or anything close to the best ever (however, I do want to craft it into the best Trynd guide ever), actually I can see how flawed and half-finished it is. But, I am looking for prominent figures in the community to give advice for improvement. Just be sure to do it in a respectful way; those who are weak and ineffective can grow to be strong and sharp of wit in the end. If you train and look after those who have less talent and practice while they need you, they more often or not become rewarding friends in the future.

-In response to the side note, I have no idea, i'm not on a computer that can access league atm. But i've played 1300~ games and a great many of them have been Trynd games so i'm saying somewhere atound 250-300 being generous?

Well, actually, in any good game, or more accurately in any ranked game with over 1500 rating, your Tryndamere will be completely useless. You won't be dealing damage if you can't live for the 5 seconds you have that exhaust on. Big attack speed values and numbers more or less mean nothing if you die in 2 seconds, because it is much more useful to live for 20 seconds in a teamfight and deal much more damage to your enemies. If you hit only twice, then get stunned/exhausted/blinded and die, there is not much point in having you in a team. I know Tryndamere has Endless Rage, but, since you will get down to 0 health in 2 seconds and have to use it ASAP, people will shrug you off with an exhaust while you are in Endless Rage.

Shortly, if you succeed by stacking Phantom Dancers and Bloodthirsters, and having no ArPen nor survival, that is a huge fault on your enemies' side for losing.

Entirely valid point. And I really can't say much for high elo ranked play because i've never been able to get that high (elo hell, you know how it is. Plus I started ranked play when I completely sucked and screwed my chances to get into high elo for season one). And tbh you're actually starting to convince me of buying a single tank item (you actually inspired a concept i'm working on in my guide) XD.

Tbh, the vast majority of players aren't high elo and so pure attack works on them quite often. Also, with a practiced hand you can do much with very little. I've gotten good at evading and entering teamfights with caution and precision. (For example, I tend to skirt around the massive spot of fighting for a moment [waiting for the initial aoe cc bursts from champs like amumu and leona] and pick off the supporting dps that flirt around with the edges.) It really does heavily depend on your team as well. I've had such good games with this style of play because my team knew how to PERFECTLY support me and I knew when to push and when to back off. It's all about theory ^^. But I'd love to play a few solo queue's (normal) with you to pick up some of your ideas and techniques. Feel free to add me in game if you like ^^. Same name as here.
