Alistar jungling? I imagine there would be some nasty ganks. And that he'd be sort of like rammus; pretty slow, but alistar has far better sustain. Plus he can tank with very few items. I'm VERY interested to see how good this is; running a philosopher's stone would give you plenty of sustain, and if this does work, then by god, fill me in on the route and specifics.

I don't care about my rep, but you can +rep if you want to.

Just been watching one who was in the same team as HotShotGG on Solo Queue.
So I'd imagine it's reasonably viable... :P

Alistar can jungle decently, I'd say he's faster than Rammus with his new passive. His ganks are above average if your support will actually CV the bush in the lane you're ganking.

Unfortunately not. Rammus is one of the fastest junglers in the game, Alistar's is mediocre at best.

Jungle Alistar works, just honestly, there's better picks in today's meta, especially when Alistar is easily one of the best supports in the game.

You ****ting me? This goes against everything I've been told about jungle rammus...
He's one of the slowest, if not THE slowest jungler in the game. He has no sustain, taking down buffs(which he so desperately needs) is painful, and his mana costs are pretty outdated, meaning he pretty much has only one, slow, dangerous, unsustained route.

I know there are better picks, obviously. But it can work. Mostly I jungle as Amumu(or Cho if I want to be safe from counter jungling), and the fact that he's one of the few junglers that has a displacement move before level 6, I think gives him some value.

I don't care about my rep, but you can +rep if you want to.

Have you ever tried jungle Rammus out yourself?

Rammus' early game clear is like 4th fastest in the game or something (including Karthus). Check Stonewall's videos (or spreadsheet) for the actual times/rankings - but I'm certain he's 3rd, 4th or 5th, depending on if you include Karthus or not.

Post early game jungle he's super duper slow - but the initial clear is ridiculously fast.

He clears fast very early, but afterwards, his jungling is like walking through a sea of molasses.

Rammus WAS a good jungler, but ever since he got nerfed, he became horrible at it. Idk how these buffs affect him, but after his initial clear, he takes forever to clear camps.

Rammus is painfully slow.

You have to consider the speeds of other junglers when making statements about clear times.

Udyr, Lee Sin, and other are all going to clear much faster than Rammus. His only hope for a reasonable speed is to get a kill or two and get a lucky early Sunfire Cape.

If Rammus could just get a reasonable jungle speed, he'd be viable at all levels of play immediately, but he severely lacks that :/
