[[mercury's treads]] make him un-CC'able. Great to negate CC. [[boots of swiftness]] make his initiation even stronger, and you will never be able to chase/run away from singed. Since that flip initiation is so important, these boots are often taken on him. [[ninja tabi]] kind of give the best of both worlds - defense and speed. Combined with [[nimbleness]], singed can maintain high speed provided he's being attacked (no super boss initiation though D:), and he gets defensive stats.
