Nice guide!

Even if expired, this guide helps a lot for Ryze on Dominion.

I just recommend a slight different order of items:
1) Catalyst
2) Sorcerer's Shoes
3) Glacial Shroud -> Frozen Heart
4) Odyn's Veil
5) Void Staff

The Catalyst right from the start gives you some tankyness.

Love this build. Been using something similar since the start of dominion. not many people know the powers of a spammable 2 second snare.

This is my favorite Ryze guide for dominion. Works great with my play style.

Maybe just remove Will of the Ancients since it will never be built anyway?
You could put in hextech revolver as an optional item.

And even though you don't have Mana runes yourself, you could put them on the front page just to show they'd be the best to pick.
They'd give more damage than the AP runes, even before you get archangels.




You may want to calculate it. They are still very much worth it.
ROA and Archangels still give him the most damage output out of any other items at those prices can even without the extra bonuses gained later.

Everypony else seems to be ignoring the fact that you have 2 items in your build that needs time to grow before there worth the money.

Since a fight in Dominion is super fast, you wont reach the full potential of these items.

Also, starting by buying a tear of the goddess and boots makes you squishy as hell, building Ryze tanking is a key point to winning on Dominion. Starting by buying a Cataclys provides more health, And more damage, but since you do not have boots you are going to be stuck on first point capture duty... but someone have to do that anyway, so better you than anyone else.

Taking a cataclyst makes you a beast early game.

And i do not agree on the Will of ancients... spellvamp is nice... helping team mates is nice, but you really have to leave this for more ap based champs or support. it is not worth getting on Ryze.

I'm sorry, I guess I don't see the point in downvoting because of one OPTIONAL item... and a 6th item at that, something I've never even been able to get to in a Dominion game. Also phate wrote his own Dominion Ryze guide. Sorry, I just think that's kind of tacky.

i agree with phate, will of the ancients is good when youre in team fights or laning with another ap champ. not many big team interactions in dominion

As an old favorite of mine, I find your guide for Ryze on dominion to work out really nice. I grew tired of using him in Summoner's Rift because he can be very boring and tiresome to build up into his godlike late game capabilities. Although I feel in Dominion his skill set is developed quickly and this makes him very fun to use throughout the entire match. Great work and I look forward to future updates!

Yes it does. Your champion is always affected by any aura items you buy. Otherwise Zeke's Harbinger would be completely useless, providing you with nothing but some attack speed.

Will of the Ancients is a fantastic item and works great on almost any AP carry in the game. I suggest you reverse your downvote if that was the only reason you didn't like the guide.

EDIT: And Schweppes, jhoijhoi is a girl. You should probably fix your conclusion.

Will of Anicients doesn't give you spell vamp, just your team.

AP runes because that's what I have. Yes, mana runes are better, but there's not a huge difference. And no, Will of the Ancients doesn't really help your team all that much, but you DO benefit from the spell vamp.
