One thing to note: Quickness is a little stronger than MS quints. It's easier to reach and most other masteries are worth less than half of what a quintessence gives (per point) while Quickness gives just 50% less.
Oftentimes it's worth running utility masteries for MS and use runes for defense/offense instead.

I completely agree. Although, not every champion utilizes a 9/0/21 mastery tree such as, say, Ashe. The Swiftness Quints have their uses.

On a side note, I'd like to ask a question, as I don't see the point in making a new thread. How useful are Quints of Vigor?

Special thanks to Keondre for the sig!

I put MS Quints for Amumu on my Dominion guide. They act like an extra level of boots (18 extra movement on Amumu). Being faster means you can run away from people, as well as get to capture points faster.

They're great on sustain champions. Often those who belong in top lane. Cho'Gath and Irelia are both great with them.

I usually run two speed quints to basically double Quickness' effect, and then grab a third quint based on whatever I happen to want.

But I play only Dominion, so YMMV. Just not a lot of need for defense pen with the free buff.

Thanks to Jsta for the sig image.

Probably good on Talon if you do not go for AD quints. I personally use Boots of Mobility anyway so it isn't that necessary for me. Unless however you use boots that aren't natrually high in MS.

BUT CDR IS OP ON TALON D:
Yeah, basically the reason i'm considering movespeed quints for him.

Holy Toledo, Batman, It's Cho'Gath!

MS Quints are good on Irelia? I must try this!

Oh, nonono, I was talking about HP5 quints. HP-reg is pretty brutal on Irelia.

they are amazing on AP casters. allows that extra step to land your abilities, and to avoid annoying harass.
The battleroom is ready. Liqur's hands are steady. The enemy is deadly.
