Soraka in Dominion as a bot pusher?

[/quote] Soraka is gamebreakingly overpowered in Dominion, at least as an anchor. Build her tanky. You can even build her full tank with a Warmog's if you want to be saucy, but Rod of Ages works fine. Max Starcall first. Pick up a point in Imbue for the silence and then max out your heal, and grab ult when it's available. Build your items like: http://tinylc.com/VGb Rod of Ages because it builds from Catalyst, provides a ton of HP/MP for its cost, and gives you some AP. Randuin's Omen because it's the most effective armor item for its cost in the game. Honestly, you could probably pull off a Sunfire Cape because of your magic pen, but Randuin's Omen will keep you alive a lot longer. Abyssal Scepter because it's probably the best MR item in the game for anyone that can make use of the AP and magic pen it provides. The only thing better than magic pen is more magic pen. Mercury's Treads because once you really get going the only way to kill you is with CC chains. The Tenacity and MR help that, and if you're playing anchor you don't need the move speed from BoM. Spirit Visage is just in there as a "pick your 5th item of similar cost" spot. Hextech Sweeper would be the obvious other choice and I'd recommend it over SV if you don't need SV's MR. Both provide health and CDR (not that you really need any), while SV will increase your survivability, Sweeper gives you anti-stealth/bushes and more AP. I used magic pen reds, flat armor yellows, flat MR blues, and AP quints. You could use any quints, really and flat HP reds might be a better choice. I used 0/21/9 masteries, taking Ardor and Veteran's Scars, Dodge instead of HP regen (you don't benefit from either really, but that's still a 2% chance of "Because fuck you, that's why"), and grab masteries for your summoners (probably ghost/promote or ghost/garrison.) The reason you want to max your heal before Imbue is for the armor buff. +125 Armor is a [i]huge[/i] survivability buff even without the healing portion. If you don't feel you need the armor, max Imbue instead. You don't need much AP, really. Creeps don't take long to kill even with 0 AP and your focus versus players is outlasting, not bursting. Starcall can stack to -120(!) MR, which will cause horrific damage to everyone (even tanks) if they don't leave you alone for 8 seconds. Your main focus is on surviving. Zhonya's is a good choice, but I feel it's too limited compared to Randuin's. Again, you don't really need AP, and 2 seconds of invulnerability doesn't outweigh a constant FUCK YOU passive and another FUCK YOU, TOO active. Guardian Angel is a great item and I recommend picking it up if you can afford it, but I intentionally capped my spending at about 10k-11k because it's rare for you to earn more than that unless you were having a really baller game. Don't discount Revive here. If you're bottom anchor, I recommend Revive over Promote and Garrison. It allows you to spend 30 minutes wasting their time, finally die, pop Revive and Ghost and immediately sprint back to the point before they can even finish neutralizing the point (and with the mastery perk, you're sprinting back with an extra 400 HP, too.) Seriously, Soraka when built right is probably the strongest, most overpowered anchor in Dom. Makes Heimer and Karthus look like a joke.[/quote]
